Great video, nice to see the Honwave going through a tidal race, not many videos online like this, I've got a simillar video on my channel going out from Exmouth on an incoming spring tide.
We could have gone round this bit of rough sea but it’s a bit of fun testing out the sib and myself 😳😂 Yes I often follow a bigger boat for a smooth run
@@123boat So the rear was better then? I’ve watch a OZY guy and he gets a clear image working fine up to 38knots. I don’t want mine for fish I want to make sure I don’t run into ground.
@@raykeogh1972 The best place was strapped to the rear on the tube but a bit of a faf on my own. I’ve got it attached to my launching wheels which is fine but at speed it gives me a water spout but no big deal. You can still easily run aground even with a transducer. Just keep an eye on the chart plotter to make sure your not drifting into the shallows 😳
The floor is very stable as long as it’s the correct pressure. These sibs are great in my opinion. Don’t be tempted to get one with an alloy floor. A faf to put together and add to much weight to the boat..
Yes it was worse than it looked but felt reasonably safe 😳 Just watched another video of a sib in slightly worse conditions . th-cam.com/video/_bq9XLCZjhQ/w-d-xo.html
@@theinflatableboatownersnet5684 I think the most worrying thing is being swamped by a following wave and watching all my gear float off. It won’t sink but there’s also a chance of capsize as well. I deliberately headed towards that tidal flow to see how the sib handled and myself too…

It certainly handled it well. Not so sure about my friend though 😳😂
They just float over big seas no drama
They really are a good sib 👍
What I do some times is follow a bigger boat ,they flatten out the sea a fair bit. I don't like the feeling when you get picked up by waves

@@123boat You need to get out in that to gain experience. One day you will have no choice, that day I want to know with confidence I can handle it.
Do you have your transducer near the front? Loving the swirl and how well our Honwave handles it. Thanks for sharing this. Ray K UK 🇬🇧 YNWA.
Hi Ray. The transducer is attached to the pole you can see in the video. It was an experiment and moved it to the rear again 👍 A bit bumpy 😂

@@123boat Thanks for the advice
Shame about the music, it would have been nice to hear the wind, the waves and the outboard.
This is an extract from another video I posted which no music

👍
@@123boat watched it now, thanks for the link. Really great video.
@@DonegalOverlanding Cheers buddy 👍
The floor Is stable with that sea or does It flex with every wave? I'm not sure if buying a full inflatable

What outboard you running?
Hi Corky. It’s a Yamaha 9.9 converted to 15hp 2 stroke 👍
Recent trip ?
Hiya. July last year 😀
Is it Newhaven
No. Its just outside Poole Dorset. Old Harry Rocks
If it looks like that on camera must of been worst in real life.

It maybe a rib though but not sure
Thats a sib too. Flatter bottom than your Honwave so that's why its moving around more.

Horrible sound !
Totally agree 🤗
