I live in Texas, so snow is a rare occurrence. Because of that, I love the snow. During Thanksgiving, we went to Colorado and were lucky enough to see snow. I remember waking up one morning and the whole place was blanketed in snow. I woke up my little boys and their faces were priceless. They had so much fun playing and sledding in the snow.
LOVE LOVE LOVE. It’s such a shame polar bears are slowly losing their homes. I started learning about them in college when I took a marine biology class. It’s so amazing how many beautiful creatures we have. That’s part of one of my resolutions this year, to take a moment and enjoy nature as it is.

Really love this theme of polar bears. As someone whose early years were spent in Southern California and has moved to Canada, I've established for myself that I always want to live somewhere with snow. I agree it is so magical, every time. I only wish I could have experienced that magic as a kid.

I didn't think you could top your Northern Lights theme, but oohhh my goodness! This is so beautiful. That Prussian blue is so incredibly beautiful on its own! I had no idea! Many people just mix it with other colors, so I didn't see it natural until now (snowflake emoji here lol). Love how you went with happy little mistakes when the white started lifting the blue, but the last painting with translucent ice and water was perfect for the technique. And yes to also painting trees with a vertical and tiny horizontal lines XD I really believe you're going to keep improving within the next year. This year was such a privilege to see you grow in your painting

I genuinely felt like I was there, in the snow, dreaming about what it would be like to wake up as a polar bear. SNOW FLAKE TABS! They're so pretty. I love this whole spread, it's perfect for chilly January weather. 🐻❄⛄ #plantmas2021 - We haven't had proper snow here in the UK in years. I miss it. When I was little I loved to go sledging but now that I'm older and a mum, I prefer sitting indoors watching it with a cup of hot chocolate and a warm blanket. My dog - an English cream golden retriever - reminds me of a polar bear in the snow sometimes. I never realized polar bears were so huge! And it’s sad to know that their environment is slowly being destroyed 😭 living in the northern US as a child, snow was a super fun event. The more snow, the better, although our parents were never quite so excited!! Love your videos!!
This theme is just so beautiful, I knew I had to use it in my own bullet journal somehow. As icing on the cake, I have a washi tape set with polar bears in a snowy landscape at nighttime which fits this theme perfectly. It was like a sign from the universe hahaha So yesterday I got my paints out for the first time and recreated it. I had actually never painted before in almost 10 years, so I was expecting it to fail miserably. My paints are also horrible in terms of quality (needed 5 layers just to make the background half as dark as yours and it turns very grainy when it dries). It took me a full day, but in the end it turned out surprisingly pretty and I'm very happy with the result! Thanks for the inspiration! Happy holidays!
I lived on a farm growing up with a bunch of siblings and when it would snow we would grab trash bags and climb to the highest hill and go sledding until we were completely frozen. One of my favorite things about Winter is the snow. Where I live we tend to have less snow from year to year which makes me super sad. I grew up in Ohio on the cliff overlooking Lake Erie, about an hour south of London, Ontario. On bright clear days I could look out my bedroom window and see the distant shore. I have lived in the "snow belt" almost all of my life and the first snow of the year will never fail to leave me in awe of nature. I used to love walking out onto the Lake once it had frozen over, imagining I could walk to a new life on the other side, but always turning back to my own familiar shores. I would say most of my life has been lived in the snow. #plantmas2021

Seeing the polar bears in the thumbnail, I thought it was going be a His Dark Materials-theme (which is my January theme!) similar to you, growing up in Norway, there's an affinity for polar bears, snow and the cold in general and it's just all so lovely ❄️ the best part about the snow is how it brightens up these dark days 😍
When I think of polar bears I think of the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman, and the polar bear character Iorek Byrnison. I don't know if you've read the series, but Iorek is an incredibly strong and protective character and I think Pullman nailed the essence of polar bears through his interpretation. Your beautiful paintings definitely give off a strong and protective atmosphere! #plantmas2021
Sadly, I live in the tropical zone, so we don't experience snow here. But I did thoroughly enjoy the snow when we visited Switzerland, and I absolutely loved it! The polar bear facts were so cool! This is such a cosy setup! I love the contrast between how majestic polar bears look but sometimes they act very silly. I once saw a video about courtship between polar bears and smiled throughout beacuase of the silliness. I live in Sweden where it's dark most of the time during the winter (we get about 6 hours of daylight at best) and the snow really helps to brighten everything up! #plantmas2021

Another fun fact. Shave a polar bear and you'll find black skin underneath. It helps them absorb as much sunlight as possible to keep warm. The fur is clear to allow the sunlight to reach their skin. Awesome theme!

I was thinking about all the steps you've explained in the previous #plantmas2021 video's and wondered how it was editing this video. Love the polar bears🐻❄️, they're such wonderful animals. Graceful and yet very strong. Personally not a big fan of snow tho, but love it when I can stay inside by a warm fireplace and look out over the white world🥰❄

i like how snowflakes are kinda like unique individual crystals, and they just melt when they fall into your palm, it’s almost magical. i have only seen snow for a few times in my life, which means i see only the good parts about it, hahah, but yea, snow has always felt magical to me.

I grew up in Ohio on the cliff overlooking Lake Erie, about an hour south of London, Ontario. On bright clear days I could look out my bedroom window and see the distant shore. I have lived in the "snow belt" almost all of my life and the first snow of the year will never fail to leave me in awe of nature. I used to love walking out onto the Lake once it had frozen over, imagining I could walk to a new life on the other side, but always turning back to my own familiar shores. I would say most of my life has been lived in the snow. #plantmas2021

Im Venezuelan but i have lived in Canada for the past 15 years and it was not until recently that I started appreciating the seasons and winter. It nice to look at the snow with love instead of hate. My favorite polar bear fact is that their fur is not white always blows my mind 🐻❄️ #plantmas2021

This one is so pretty. The paint splatter snowflakes make it so magical. Where I live we have snow for a few days every other winter and that makes it feel so special. The whole country is more relaxed and happy those couple of days, so I really cherish those times.

Seeing the polar bears in the thumbnail, I thought it was going be a His Dark Materials-theme (which is my January theme!) similar to you, growing up in Norway, there's an affinity for polar bears, snow and the cold in general and it's just all so lovely ❄️ the best part about the snow is how it brightens up these dark days 😍

When I think of polar bears I think of the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman, and the polar bear character Iorek Byrnison. I don't know if you've read the series, but Iorek is an incredibly strong and protective character and I think Pullman nailed the essence of polar bears through his interpretation. Your beautiful paintings definitely give off a strong and protective atmosphere! #plantmas2021
Sadly, I live in the tropical zone, so we don't experience snow here. But I did thoroughly enjoy the snow when we visited Switzerland, and I absolutely loved it! The polar bear facts were so cool! There was a lot I didn't know about! And as you said, snow is magical. I wished it snowed here too! #plantmas2021

I love the contrast between how majestic polar bears look but sometimes they act very silly. I once saw a video about courtship between polar bears and smiled throughout beacuase of the silliness.
I live in Sweden where it's dark most of the time during the winter (we get about 6 hours of daylight at best) and the snow really helps to brighten everything up! #plantmas2021

Fun Fact: papillae are also found on your cat's tongue! It helps them grip food and lap up water! Papillae are found on a variety of different animals (including humans) and each have slightly different uses and features.

Another fun fact. Shave a polar bear and you'll find black skin underneath. It helps them absorb as much sunlight as possible to keep warm. The fur is clear to allow the sunlight to reach their skin.

You never fail to impress and this spread is no exception. Where I live we don’t get a lot of snow, but I used to live in Colorado, and it was one of the only times I ever saw a white Christmas. I love that you found out the Inuit word for polar bears and I’ve heard of another you might like - old man in the fur cloak. This one comes from the Sami people! #plantmas2021
