Here in South Africa we have a sandwich called the Dagwood. It's my favorite. It consists of 3 toasted slices of bread with lettuce, cucumber, tomato, bacon, egg, onion, cheese and 2 beef patties.
I'm from Brazil and the main sandwiches here are bread with butter, bread with bologna and the ham and cheese one, where you can eat it "cold" or hot (misto quente, the best sandwich you can eat everywhere and any time).

Peanut Butter Jelly is a pretty bad choice for #1 imo... unless you are going by how common and well known it is. It's easy to make and kids like it so everyone is really familiar with the sandwich, but is it the best? Personally, I'd prefer any of the other sandwiches on the list.
They don't throw it away ,there's like this rail where he threw the meat. Its used for the briskets .Like some people prefer just brisket with the side of fries , just chunk of meat with some sides. I have seen them making it like that. its KATZ the famous pastrami and corned beef eatery in New York .

Nah, I'm good with PB&J at the top spot because that is every (American's) childhood. It's also probably the first food you made on your own. I call BS on leaving out the Po Boy. They readily admit you can change out the cheese in a grilled cheese, but you can't change the meat in a Po Boy? I used to judge restaurants by the quality of their club sandwich. It was a pretty good benchmark. A simple yet sublime choice and very easy to make poorly.

The absolute best BLTs are from July thru Sept when I go out back to our garden to pick fresh tomatoes off the vine. Both the Cherokee purple and the Black Krim have a taste that is indescriblable... one can say they are everything a tomato should be and more.
As the late, great James Beard once said, "Too few people understand a really good sandwich." My favorite sandwiches as far as this list is concerned are the Reuben and the Club Sandwiches, respectively. I also enjoy a good BLT and Sloppy Joe sandwich. Neither which I have had in quite a while.
The Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich is possibly the King of the Sandwiches second only to a burger perhaps. The PB & J, while deserving of a spot on the list is a depression era sandwich for children. The Club too pales in comparison to the great Philly. And the grilled cheese... is just a Philly... No Meat.

I've never actually seen Miracle Whip until a few years ago.. so it's always been Mayo for me. I think because breakfast sandwhichs are always bacon or sasuage+eggs as the base level. Sorta like a BLT is always bacon lettuce tomato, but you can add extra.

Nah, I'm good with PB&J at the top spot because that is every (American's) childhood. It's also probably the first food you made on your own. I call BS on leaving out the Po Boy. They readily admit you can change out the cheese in a grilled cheese, but you can't change the meat in a Po Boy? I say keep it to crawdad for the meat anyways, since it's a Louisiana food and that best represents the region.

I get that the PB&J is a classic. But honestly, is the PB&J really the best thing one can possibly make with a couple slices of bread and a bunch of various stuff? Every other thing mentioned in this video is better than a PB&J.

I used to judge restaurants by the quality of their club sandwich. It was a pretty good benchmark. A simple yet sublime choice and very easy to make poorly.

A breakfast sandwich is a breakfast sandwich. You can have meatball subs, pizza subs, veggie subs, cold cut subs... Not the same thing.
The absolute best BLTs are from July thru Sept when I go out back to our garden to pick fresh tomatoes off the vine. Both the Cherokee purple and the Black Krim have a taste that is indescriblable... one can say they are everything a tomato should be and more.
As the late, great James Beard once said, "Too few people understand a really good sandwich." My favorite sandwiches as far as this list is concerned are the Reuben and the Club Sandwiches, respectively. I also enjoy a good BLT and Sloppy Joe sandwich. Neither which I have had in quite a while.

The Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich is possibly the King of the Sandwiches second only to a burger perhaps.
The PB & J, while deserving of a spot on the list is a depression era sandwich for children.
The Club too pales in comparison to the great Philly.

Exactly. There's so much more to watch and if they don't like this, there is so much more to enjoy. It isn't easy for me to understand why someone wouldn't enjoy this. Sandwiches are a staple, many of them being massively popular, and any foodie would love a list like this to see how high-rated their favorite yet lesser-known sandwich would be.

I've never actually seen Miracle Whip until a few years ago.. so it's always been Mayo for me.
I think because breakfast sandwhichs are always bacon or sasuage+eggs as the base level. Sorta like a BLT is always bacon lettuce tomato, but you can add extra.
