I'm thinking of putting some cash in stocks, I was at Salt Shack and I overheard some friends saying it's ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?

Agreed, my portfolio is well-matched for every market season yielding 85% from early last year to date. I and my advisr are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take another year. IMO, financial advisors are the most sought-after professionals after doctors.

I find it more productive and safe to buy growth/ blue-chip stocks rather than tech stocks. It's advisable to work with a fiduciary advisor for well-diversified portfolios instead of relying solely on speculations.

No brainer. Semiconductor and AI stocks will dominate 2024. Why I prefer NVIDIA is that they are better placed to maintain long term growth potential, and provide a platform for other AI companies. I have made more than 200% ROI from NVIDIA with the assistance of my fa, I won’t fail to mention. I agree the stock would go higher in the next couple of days.
I bought NVIDIA around September last year because my financiaI-planner recommended it to me…said the company is selling shovels in a gold rush. It accounted for almost 80% of my market return this year.
That's a great analogy and I love the insight. Professionals could make a really big difference in investing, and I think everyone should have one. There are aspects of market trend that is difficult for the untrained eyes to see. I have made more than 350% through semiconductor stocks under my estate planner(fa) by alternative investing. The portfolio comes with perks as well in terms of travel and liquidity.

It's so refreshing to hear him say that there's a difference between trading and investing because CNBC at times doesn't differentiate between the two.
Most of the people who are on this network seem like traders.
They talk about trading blue chip stocks whenever there's a down quarter.
Both evaluators and media's reference to them indicate about Q EPS of 4.60 to 4.85 expectations, they are all really expecting $5.05 and higher. Sales and revenue numbers don't matter. It's that 500% expected growth on this Q's year to year growth that matters.

"If" NVDA earnings don't give what the market wants, you might see the pullback some have forecasted the last couple of months, like Tom Lee. It might be a good thing in the medium term, again if you are long. I took my profits waiting for a pullback. My meaningless prediction: NVDA has a great quarter, but you will always have people disappointed, so who knows.

I'm working on an Al-focused investment plan, researching stocks of Nvidia, Microsoft, and Alphabet, among others. Said B4 & same now: I like Nvidia as a company, BUT... People are so excited about AI but they're too dumb and/or lack understanding to evaluate stocks properly. Nvidia, for example, even if it grows massively, and I mean unimaginably massively, is still overpriced. People are very dumb. Nvidia PE is above 80 currently. Morons. The PE should be somewhere between 20 and 30, with the expected growth they've indicated. And in the future I'm confident it will drop down to 18 PE. People are buying based on hype instead of actually understanding how stock price is valuated. Everybody who's buying now is going to lose money for sure if they don't take profits. Plenty of idiots out there. Including fund and portfolio managers. Plenty of suckers/morons in that area too. Nvidia currently needs to report 150% growth (means 480% Y to Y this Q needed via 5.05 EPS reported) AND, I say again AND, they need to indicate 150% consistent growth for the NEXT 5 YEARS as well for the stock price to remain where it is. THAT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN PEOPLE! Let's say Nvidia reports a 480% Y to Y this Q (feeling I have of what some people are expecting; SMH), then what. A 3 digit % current growth & future growth needs to be on the EPS and not just on revenue. People are delusional, and often ignorant, if they think this company's going to have three digit percent growth for the next 5 years. A 480% on this Q and projections means next fiscal year growth will be something like 88% to 90%.
Eventually people will realize this stock should be in the $180s price to $200s price for its stock, assuming it reports AND projects three digit growth for its EPS. Once this realization occurs, look out below.
Oh stop look at Tesla you think that company is accurately valued? Give me a break.
