Pain For Gaza (Original Mix)

Please like, comment & share! Go to 03:52 to feel the depths of my pain for Gaza, and obviously for those in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Lebanon, plus Palestinians in Israel too of course. I know many of you are feeling the same pain! But we can only imagine what the millions affected are going through right now. As this kicked off, it just knocked the life out of me. The first month I spent glued to Al-Jazeera and TH-cam - the likes of ‪@TheElectronicIntifada‬ ‪@thegrayzone7996‬ ‪@DeclassifiedUK‬ ‪@EmpireFiles‬ - good journalism is difficult to find, hard facts and data are hard to find. Electric Intifada are particularly great with sharing official Palestinian battle videos, so you can see there is a real fierce battle, and there are lots of Israeli casualties. That is never shown on Irish mainstream tv. And Israel is adamant that it will only be vague about everything, including the numbers of their own soldiers who have been killed or injured. Secrecy is not a good sign. Reporters are not allowed on the ground, full stop. The Israeli dictatorship in action!

This track came about because Ive just had a bit of bad news. A bunch of the first tracks I produced during this 3 week production binge have included some samples by a sample label from Israel. I'm livid, with myself, for not checking first. I bought them from a UK store, but then bought some direct from them. I only noticed when I had issues with the payment, and looked them up. There are a good number, of the best tracks, that are affected, but I'm devastated I put money in Israeli pockets. I need to try to highlight that this company is Israeli, to music producers. Function Loops is their name, and they are popular. And high quality. The Israeli economic monster likes to invest in "cool". So I'm going to have to take action on the tracks too, possibly take them down. I need a few days to think about this. Any thoughts? Please do share them below!
My best outlet for the frustration was this track. It started out with a little bit of harp, some notes really portraying how I'm feeling about Gaza since the Israeli invasion. The hurt, I'm past the anger, now its the humongous pain. I started promoting the Palestinian cause in 2009, and nothing has changed. If anything, it has gotten worse. I can only imagine the countless folks all over the world, like me, but who have been far more active, who are just devastated after possibly decades of activism to try to sort out this situation for those millions of Palestinian folks. All the ups and downs. And then Gaza happens. This track has some moments where it feels like its going to take off, but eventually gets dragged back down. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. We are witnessing the new generation - those college kids in the US for example - getting stuck into this subject, in numbers not seen during my time. This is fantastic. The Israeli regime, a nation of mercenaries and settlers, may have shot themselves in the foot. I feel like they have. But its all still very sad. I hope you can feel all those very complex, but very regular feelings for many of us, from this track.
