You know, the choice of this image for the music is absolutely perfect. Rather than making me feel a sense of loneliness, it generates a feeling of comfort, solitude and freedom; freedom away from civilisation, the corruption and harsh reality of the world. I so badly want to live in that dwelling, be engulfed by the mysterious yet embracing mist, breathe in the beauty of those trees and bushes and to dream about what lies beyond those background of trees. But I can only listen to this ambient music and keep dreaming...

I listened to this over and over while I was writing my book a year or so ago. I wanted to listen to it again today and was so sad to realize I hadn't saved it! Thankfully, I remembered there was a picture of a cabin and the title of the mix started with an R (I thought it was Remembrance; not too far off from Replacement). I'm so glad I could listen to this again today and feel calm and at peace.

I've written so much to it.
The forest is soft beneath your feet. It seems to bend, breathe, expand, beneath you, the pine needles creating a blanket over the rich earth. You can imagine it expanding endlessly downwards, a system of intricate roots, all linked together, all one thing.
They seem to breathe in unison. The wind pulls form into the leaves, billowing out the canopies like washing on a line. You jump over a small brook, your toes sinking into the thick mud on the other side. With a pull, you've escaped, and run off again, streaming between the trees effortlessly.
Off, like a wild creature, into the woods.

There is literally nothing in this world that makes you feel the way being in nature does.
