I have a food addiction. You can't see it by looking at me; I have average weight for my height. In public, I won't eat the icing on cake, but at home by myself, I'll eat cups of cooked rice with my dinner in one go and not feel full or even realize how much I've devoured. Many years ago I lost about 70 lbs, but that doesn't mean that I lost the unhealthy tendencies along with the weight. I have been a follower of Jesus all my life, and I just turned 44. I am slowly learning how to "give this" over to him and allow him to heal me from the ground up. There is hope in Jesus. He is alive and well, and He is alive and living in me! And if you've accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, the same power that rose Jesus from the grave lives in you! Speak life over yourself, not death. He will guide you, lead you, and when needed, He'll carry you.

Today is the day that marks a year since I lost my mom to heroin. My heart aches tremendously. While on the way to see her in the hospital, this song came on in the car. My mom was so passionate for her love of Christianity and God, I wanted to show her this song so badly. I couldn’t. Today, I listen to it since she couldn’t get to hear it. That is because success swells our pride. When we are so busy being full of ourselves we have no room for God. Yet failure humbles us and we cry out to him. We seek God's help and guidance to right our wrongs. The true success comes in life when we humble ourselves to the throne and give our life to him. Not just in mere empty words but in the truth of a full surrender. When we then allow God to bless us with his bounty and thank him for the gifts he has bestowed upon us. When we thank him for all that we have because we know that we didn't do it alone. For we are never alone, the still small voice is always with us all we need do is listen. That is a place where God can use you. Yet it's hard to be that level of humble until you fallen so far because of failure. So regardless of the pain it has caused me. I am thankful for the failure for otherwise I would have the level of faith i have today without it.

I've been trying to get into any sort of contemporary Christian music for years, but nothing ever did it for me. I think We The Kingdom may be the band I've been looking for all this time! Love everything already, and excited to watch what you folks become and produce.
