When you have 3 loops on your hook, if you pull that last loop up just a touch it won't be so hard to work into for the next one. When I first learned this I couldn't believe I had wasted so much time frogging and re-doing things in the past lol Also as I understand it, this is how you make a chain-less foundation row, although I prefer to work into the back bumps of my chain for the finished look. Great way to explain it by saying you're borrowing the previous chain, I think that makes it easier for me to remember, thanks!
