Such a pretty square. I noticed when you first used the yellow yarn, you used two chains to count as the first dc, but later you had chain 3 count for a dc. Maybe because of the pattern on that first yellow round? Also, when you knot to secure your new yarn, is that similar to attaching with a slip knot? Thank you! My husband loves sunflowers. I think he would love this blanket!

Jackie, thanks so much for sharing this. Your instructions are VERY clear and simple. I used this sunflower to attach to a grocery bag holder I am making. I just added a row of green leaves. So your pattern can be used for much more than coasters. However, I also intend to make these coasters too! Hugs❤️

I love the design and I would love to make a dress with this pattern, but the holes in the pattern are little bit too big when I make them. Do you perhaps know how I could make them smaller?
