One thing that I think helps me, if I'm striking with my laces, is to try to curl my toes and make a "fist" with my foot. It's kinda like punching the ball as opposed to slapping it. I'm not sure if it actually adds more power, but it makes sense to me. All the other tips here are solid.

my problem is that i cant hit the ball with the sweet spot of the foot. when i lean on my plant foot, and try hitting the ball, it moves fast as if it has power, but its never a good shot because it gains no air. ive watched a lot of these technique videos and they haven’t really helped, so help me please
