It's usually a question of preference but there are benfits to running lower fov, like easier to be more consistent with braking points and gauge distances and such. With 65 fov everything can look kinda far away and small but there's more "sense of speed"... I'd say atleast try going lower in small steps, after you get used to new value go lower again. Maybe you wont like it but theres a reason a lot of fast drivers use
@@syndeko1632 Yep thats why you should lower it in small steps lol. After getting used to 35 i cant go back, wouldnt necessarily recommend that low for touge because there are some corners so tight you literally cant see the apex on the screen lmao
Mhm whats your point? I know Baba has WR for tyre blankets off, however with tyre blankets this is still the fastest run recorded for this car. I didnt use them to compete against baba's no blankets record which I believe stands at 09.2
A lot of official WRs are with tire blankets off. That's not to say that a sub 10 second time isn't impressive. But for people who may watch this as a reference to get faster on TL leaderboard may be misled.
Thats true, i've been questioning whether i made it clear enough that this is with blankets On since this got more popular than i anticipated so i shall add that to the title. @@dingo_ac I usually go blankets off, tried them on once before but didn't notice too much of a difference, probably my lack of experience since I've had the game for maybe a week now. Such a blast though, the togues are really fun and I feel right at home on them coming from dirt rally. Just gotta get used to the handling then! You and baba are insane lol
@@Fingnars yea baba is lovely, also tyre blankets off is what people run most of the time, if you do end up trying them on again just lower your tire pressures by like 3psi from your usual setup (if youve got one in the first place lol), for the 86 its like 25psi
hey dude how did you get time attack to work on custom maps? the game just crashes for me when i try it.
Hmm idk, never had a problem with that. You could try starting a practice session instead
@@dingo_ac is the time on practice runs the same as ta? i want to get a record but dont want it to be invalid lmaoo
@@StVTakumi Yep it's 100% the same
Nice driving, this is faster than what I can drive but I did notice os it in automatic? Or are you using paddle shifters cuz I dont see the clutch moving?
I'm trying to look for examples of people driving manual with clutch that's why I'm asking
@@bluetrainer3549 clutch is sometimes bugged on Assetto replays but i'm on h-pattern with clutch. My recent uploads show clutch inputs as well 😎
Really nice driving. What mods are you using and where I can get that Akina track?
Only mods are Akina downhill and Custom shaders patch
Here's Akina, however there are more recent Akinas by EK (euro and kozzren) and PK (project kaido) so you can look for those too, dont have links for them at hand but search on google or youtube; drive.google.com/file/d/0B9ZrQxJStdk-SVFrRkRGZHZUNE0/view?usp=sharing&resourcekey=0-oB1NMnV_ivuftUf5rkHDIQ
@@dingo_ac Thank you very much. I will look for them.
Is this controller? And if you are using a steering wheel with auto clutch or is it automatic?
Wheel with h-pattern + clutch and all assists off, AC sometimes doesnt show clutch in replays but its there
hayai
where can i download this map
Here: drive.google.com/file/d/0B9ZrQxJStdk-SVFrRkRGZHZUNE0/view?usp=drivesdk&resourcekey=0-oB1NMnV_ivuftUf5rkHDIQ
Wait dingo, what is your time on colds?
Low 10s when i'm not rusty
Its looks like you use paddle shift instead h shifter huh?
No i did use h-shifter with clutch and all assists off, its just that AC pedals app doesn't show clutch in replays. To see what paddles shifting looks like check th-cam.com/video/KXqrys2OR5c/w-d-xo.html
@@dingo_ac oh i see thanks for your info.
what fov do you use? looks cool
This is 50, i use it for recording but i drive with 35 fov
@@dingo_ac i drive at 65 is it better to have it lower or higher
It's usually a question of preference but there are benfits to running lower fov, like easier to be more consistent with braking points and gauge distances and such. With 65 fov everything can look kinda far away and small but there's more "sense of speed"... I'd say atleast try going lower in small steps, after you get used to new value go lower again. Maybe you wont like it but theres a reason a lot of fast drivers use
@@dingo_ac yeah i’ve seen a lot of drivers use lower fov i tried it it just felt really weird
@@syndeko1632 Yep thats why you should lower it in small steps lol. After getting used to 35 i cant go back, wouldnt necessarily recommend that low for touge because there are some corners so tight you literally cant see the apex on the screen lmao
You have the setup of the car?
acstuff.ru/s/4gCW , use 28f 27r psi if tyre blankets off
what is a tyre blanket, what does it do
Its a setting that pre-heats your tyres before the lap
I'm on ps4, i wish I could have this.
try the EK akina. its newer and more acurate to life/manga and has actual slope.
map name?
Mount Akina 2017
I hate how you can't see the friggin mirrors in this car in AC.
Yeh you need either really high fov or VR to see them properly
To be very fair, tire blankets were on.
If they were off, I think Baba may still have WR tbh.
I too hold standard / no tyre blanket WRs in higher regard than records with blankets on since they are a lot more competitive and optimized
How's this faster than your R34 run?
1. Tyre blankets were used here, time gain ~3sec
2. The 86 tuned handles corners very well, being a lot lighter than the r34
@@dingo_ac how about on the straights? Does the 86 lose time there?
@@alsa4real yes a little bit, 200hp vs 300-something hp but it makes it up with faster speed in and out of corners
What is the map mod?
Akina 2017 check desc for link
but after all did you spill water or not?
Probably yea if u look at all the crashings i had

well played! i will try to beat that >:)
Whats your setup?
acstuff.ru/s/BJHJxV
What does tyre blankets mean?
In other words tyre warmers, you start the lap on preheated tyres
@@dingo_ac ouhh now I understand...thanks bro
Tune?
acstuff.ru/s/4gCW (for tyre blankets ON, use 28psi front 27psi rear for no tyre blankets)
You have ABS off?
Of course, all assists off
@@dingo_ac Can I see your FFB settings?
The ones I have aren’t working too well.
Not possible atm, also depends on your wheel so i'd look up a guide on wheel setup on youtube, thats what i did
@@dingo_ac From what I hear the G29 isn’t that fast.
@@Ultra-161 I personally havent got experience with logitechs, just search "assetto corsa g29 settings" on youtube and you should find plenty of resources, thats all i can do for you
Lol this is so realistic.
I thought this is Jelly Drift...
Wait is 5 minutes a good time on Akina???
Depends on which car, for slower cars like 86 stock or NA miata the its atleast acceptable
@@dingo_ac Ah ok makes sense
Not to sound like a hater my dude but you're supposed to stay on the track. You do know that right? Half of your car was cutting it at times.
Yep, in-game if it doesnt invalidate your lap its all good lol, gotta use all the "road" available
@@dingo_ac Okay I get it, in game but in real life you would probably have destroyed the suspension lol oh and you hit the guardrails a little bit
@@dingo_ac Apart from those things, you're really fast, good job man
@@erod954 yea the lap was pretty messy but decided to upload anyway, and thanks
@@dingo_ac Yeah I mean at the end of the day it's all about having fun right?
It's a bit different the 86 doesn't have an acceleration like this.🤔
It is the 86 _tuned_ afterall :D
The water would have spilled tho... :(
True, rip tofu

Wait wut
This is downhill on Akina. Why did you run without drift😭😭😭
Takumi was upset(
@@gycehok2285 Because its slower LUL
@@dingo_ac it slower when you don't have tooooo much skill🤪🤪
@@gycehok2285 On asphalt its optimal to drift as little as possible but i'd like to see you prove me wrong 😏
@@dingo_ac look, when passing mountain roads, more time is spent on driving at the limit of tire grip than when passing with a drift: entering a turn, passing with a drift, leveling and exiting a turn
He have ABS xD in 86 lol
lmao unfair advantage
but tbf it's a lot easier to not lock up with tyre blankets
Wait you don’t use clutch and there’s no ffb going on... don’t tell me you’re on fucking controller... what the fuck man 😂😂 literal god
Nah dw man i'm driving with a wheel and h-pattern, it's just that kunos pedals app doesnt show clutch in replays and i dont think ffb shows anyway lol
