Great unit for overhead branches and general clean up for sure. Thanks for showing us how it worked Dennis, seen some of the similar units mounted on Skidsters and they sure do a good job cleaning up. I'm sure you will get alot of use out of it 👍🏻
@DLH basic maintenance. By leaving the fluid flowing. As the unit is slowing down the bearings could still over heat if the fluid is not cooling them with the passing flow.
looks like it still get the job done well we have one on our 3 ton and have the same trouble when tracking about but sure beats working out in the cold & snow when you can be inside in the warm and no brambles in ya hands
I bought a similar mulcher last year except mine works in the opposite way so the teeth point the other way and the rotor spins to other direction. I find it pulls the material into the head better instead of throwing it along the ground like yours seems to do. Also cuts cleaner to the ground for the likes of briars because of the way the teeth are going in the same direction as your swinging
You could have the Thumb Down to help with the alignment of the Limbs and I have been watching a New Machine from " Spearhead " and it's really great with the brush and they also make a Six Blade Brush Trimmer that will work on the Higher level trees but I don't have any personal experience with any of them but just from the Videos that I have been watching...
@@DLHFarms I'm not talking about using it but just have it down solid to move the stick's and then possibly the thumb is too long and then it will get in the way, but then you could get another one made that is just long enough to use it instead of the Fecon Head to move the tree limb.... but I'm not talking about being able to move it up and down hydraulic but it's a Solid Mounted Thumb...??... Spearhead Machinery and they have a TH-cam Channel also.... and use to see that they have a USA Dealer in the States but I can't find it now and I think it was in Utah but it's been a while since and then a new phone that doesn't have any old information on it now and the Screen is black now from getting dropped....
Spearhead Machinery and Energreen and they also have Driveable Machinery and what I really like is the 21' brush cutter and when I was cutting the CRP Grass on the 6' brush cutter it took me a Solid Week to cut the 50 acres, but the Spearhead maybe 🤔 a 2 days with the 21' foot maybe that long???? But the Spearhead Machinery is worth a Look at....
We are good here, just lots of rain about 6 inch’s and lost power for a couple days. A few trees down here and there. It’s not so good southwest of us in the Asheville area.
A forestry mulcher is the ultimate protester remover. Sam from the west coast is in the forestry business. He uses both Fecon and FAE mulchers along with a self propelled Primetech PT175 Combine the mulcher with an articulation knuckle and as long as you have the flow, are almost unstoppable.
Is there a warning light or buzzer if the hydraulic oil get too hot ? To stop using before damaging the unit ( 305 ) and can you sharpen the teeth with a hand grinder ?
Honestly I don’t know but there should be. Most all newer machines have at least a light. Yes I figured out you can sharpen the teeth with a hand grinder and it will cut much better than it was in the video. It just doesn’t last very long when mulching near the ground
Everytime I see your mic on your shirt I think you're starting to lose your beard. You should try clipping it into your beard to camouflage it. You're welcome!

Always fun cleaning up brush and briars, especially when you can stay in the cab. lol.
Dang right
Hello Dennis looks like it works good for its size. The larger stuff cut into firewood. Enjoyed your video have a great day
Thanks
Yes thats what I wanted to see. I agree it needs to be on a higher flow machine. There is something about mulching that is satisfying.
Enjoyed the video, thanks for taking the time to post. Look forward to video on the new blue firewood hauling machine.
Coming soon!

Good Morning Dennis, your doing a fine job, I have never ran one either 😂 But the CID extreme on our Bobcat T650 gets it done, good video 🪵🇺🇸
Hello Dennis. Does a pretty good job. If you put it on a bigger machine it would be a monster.
Agreed

I can’t operate the thumb with the mulcher attached

Greentech is another place that is selling what you are using now and they have a TH-cam Channel also...
It's doing what It'sdestiny and build for good job 👍🏻🇺🇲
I like your videos Dennis, That mulcher is nice.
Well thank you!
Hey good morning Dennis from Ron in Denver. Did the rain mess you guys up. I was just thinking about you guys hoping your family is okay 🙏❤️

Looks like it's better suited to about a 120 sized excavator for the flow requirements.
Not sure it’s built heavy enough for that size. Maybe a 308
Nice little rig. Would love to have one for a few days. Speaking of snow did you all get much this winter. Any plowing needed?
Hardly any snow to speak of. VDot never called
Miss your content friend
Me too haha
Is that a newer firewood hauling truck?
🤔 maybe
Good video. How would you compare the Massey baler to the New Holland?
I plan to do a video on that very topic
