      That's a great looking burger if you wanna kick it up a notch when you're done frying that burger open up that roll and put it inside down in that hot grease and toast that burger in the hot grease . Your taste buds will love it and don't worry about the grease my dad said your body needs it for lubrication

      On youtube there's a chef that makes an interesting burger. Type "Cooking in finland", once on his channel type burger. He uses extra lean beef and frozen butter then plus a bit of liver then grind, grin, grind. . It's amazing. Great videos and keep up the good work.Peace.

    I make onion jam all the time by basically reducing french onion soup for about 3 hours too long. Delicious. Add bacon if you're feeling frisky.

  • @pieking4
    @pieking4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    so when I'm caramelizing onions I treat it similarly as I would rice. I blast them on high heat to evaporate most of the moisture, throw a lid on, drop all the way down to lowest heat, then let it sit for about forty-five minutes to an hour. works for me every time and it turns what's normally a very active process into a mostly passive one.

    • @sjenkins1057
      @sjenkins1057 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do the final caramelization in the oven as well, for less risk of burning while still being very hands off.

    I never comment on TH-cam videos, but man you do such a great job explaining things in the video. Explaining substitutions or saying what is optional goes a long way in making the recipe feel like I can make it. It's approachable, you explain things in an entertaining and easy to understand manner, and it makes me want to get better at cooking. It's like... not memorizing recipes... it's more like getting a feel for how to cook in a fun/artsy but not in a bad way kind of deal. I know that probably doesn't mean anything but thank you. You making cooking fun and tasty.

    Another tip when speeding up the caramelisation prossess is adding salt. It helps draw out the moisture quicker, and break down the onions. It also helps balancing the sweetnes. Ofc, if you are gonna add stock afterwards, make sure it's not too salty 🙂

    If you want to move the onions along a lot faster, try microwaving them , covered, for 4 or so minutes first before purporting them into the pan, it really helps move them into the caramelizing stage faster.

    really like this video for many reasons. One is I love to cook and cook for my girlfriend. This is a "special" burger that takes time and quality ingredients but you know it will be killer. Any reason to buy quality cheeses is a win. And with any left over onions you can make bruschetta the next day with some fresh cherry tomatoes, basil and balsamic glaze drizzle. You welcome

    easy chips/fries:
    1- cut up potatoes to your desired thickness and shape for fries/chips
    2- mix your desired seasoning into melted butter until paste
    3- mix the potato and seasoning paste
    4- put the seasoned potatoes into the air fryer at 180 degrees celsius or 356 fahrenheit for 30 minutes
    5- shake the air fryer every 5 minutes of cooking
    6- seasoned chips are ready
