Pokemon is full of shit. They already printing max capacity and they know what kind of market were in. The one thing they didnt anticipate is the popularity right now or else they would have built a factory a year ago in anticipation. What they are doing is stabilizing the floor price on their products. Thats their main goal right now. No more black friday half price products. Msrp the floor…
I also agree. They are forcing products to be released and go for near or at MSRP...I'm sure it really pissed em off seeing Booster boxes going for 90 bucks for months on end...
@ theyre so good at what they do they have people paying 300 a box for journey together without knowing shit about it…pokemon has people wanting things for multiple times over msrp and they dont even know what theyre chasing. Literally “dont care what it is just let me pay 300% of the cost”.
Or in the real world if a trillion gazillion listings are $80 and the consistent demand is one million buyers everyday then it stays $80 for a while, if there’s 100 listings at $80 and one million buyers then it skyrockets. I lose so many brain cells watching all the videos and reading all the comments in the hobby that have no idea how supply and demand work. The demand in Pokémon never goes away, there’s never sets that no one wants, the stuff gets bought at a consistent rate, but if there’s too much supply it just takes longer and if there’s not enough it skyrockets that’s literally it. NO ONE WANTS IT is the dumbest thing ever because there are sales everyday regardless of price and there always will be
Okay Alix. Timmy here. I cant tell if you're serious. Let's not act like they DIDNT have the printers going 24/7. They literally said that so people would dump them into the market at once to bring the price down some. They can't keep up with the demand and they know it. They're now pulling the uno reverse card and scaring the paper hands ruining the hobby. Timmy, out.
i think the same. How much they can print and how fast they can print? prices will go down for a short window of time. but it will be back to 150 in no time.

Shining fates came out in the absolute peak during last boom. And pokemon printed so much that its STILL in stock today. So yes. They can print something and completely obliterate it for years if they want.
I don’t know… there is evidence of them blowing valuable sets completely out (shining fates, roaring skies). We are already seeing people slipping out of the hobby. I’m one of them. I am on the verge of leaving for a year and letting the market cool. It is just an enjoyable side gig for me. Not worth it if I have to glue myself to my phone and get orders in within the first 15 seconds to get anything
@@Wizlumeyou think they’ve just been printing at 50% all this time? Last year they printed more Pokemon cards then any previous year and it still wasn’t enough. If they print more prismatic the next set will stuffer the same 🤷🏼♂️
Let’s not forget, all those people that can’t read they specifically are mentioning prismatic evolutions in this post. This means nothing for reprint of other sets. All we know is in February thanks to the information. Alex provided. There is a surging sparks reprint, coming of which size we do not know. There is no temporal forces reprint coming that has been officially announced. This is solely for products featuring prismatic evolutions
As someone who 95% of time only spends MSRP, trying to get surging sparks was a living hell. Watching someone spend 1000$ in a vending machine buying out almost all surging sparks products and some random dude having 2 full target bags of surging sparks booster bundles was demoralizing. Hence I snagged most of the Prismatic stuff from the same target so people like him can't get any and split it among the 2 other dads getting them for their kids. Anyways, hope I can get some products to rip open for surging during reprint now that I'm much better prepared.
I'm a little confused how he is saying that so many other sets are getting a reprint when the official Pokemon release specifically said ONLY Prismatic was getting reprinted
The said they’d reprint “more of the affected products” so it involves more than PE. But logistics says it’s going to be tough to reprint 5 sets while releasing new sets.
I ain't counting my chickens before my eggs hatch. I ain't seen this "reprint" product yet. Even if Pokemon prints this at "maximum" capacity the demand and scalpers are still there. It's going to take an ungodly amount to just meet the demand. Meanwhile as long as scalpers can clear shelves, like 1 did at my wal mart this morning, and resell it for any kind of quick flip, that will continue. I will have to see this change with my own eyes first, a "official" statement from Pokemon isn't enough.
Crash? Naw. Correction? Yeah. But don't forget this is Evolving Skies 2.0 and the demand is more than we can fathom. Don't be me little Timmy and sell most of your ES stock for $190 a box. Don't be me!
This is a typical situation when demands goes up very quickly, you can't scale up that quickly the printing press (ok you can do if you are the state). And you don't want to since it is not secured that the strong demand is long term demand, so you risk ending up with a lot of new printing facilities that you don't need longterm but you need to pay for them long term.
You should add to this video clips of you walking into Target and Walmart over the next couple years and seeing the shelves completely packed and nobody buying anything. Then edit those clips into this video when you have to show it again in a couple years 😂
I'm gonna keep waiting for the next Evolving Skies reprint. Signed a 5 yr contract for the biggest, baddest temp controlled storage unit in town along with a security detail so I'll be ready when it drops. You'll see. Never give up. Quitters never win. Pay-tience. Better ingredients, better pizza. Preparation H.
The only people who will buy up the reprints are the same people who were brave enough to pick up Paldea Evolved at $140 a box on the reprint, while others said it was still too expensive. Now it's over $200 a box. 8:52 "Shut up!" Loved this whole take. Accurate.
As a singles collector and investor. This set has me anxious because it's looking like there's no plays due to everything being mega expensive out the gate from extremely poor pull rates. They can reprint this set as much as they want but the pull rates is going to make this set ripped to the max
Its hilarious that you have to spell it out that "investing" in Pokémon is not buying up preorders and hoping to flip for a profit. Peoples expectations at the moment are absolutely wild. Currently in print product should be readily available for its life cycle and then appreciate overtime after that. Hell "investment channels" showing price graphs of surging sparks is madness in itself when you think about it but we are where we are. Fingers crossed this does come crashing down, yes I have preorders that i stand to lose 50%(on paper) if it does and no i don't give a crap because I hold for at least 5 years. I'll just be happy to be able to get the singles for my collection at a half reasonable price 😅
Exactly, in fact I even sold off some of my Surging Sparks booster boxes because the growth for this amount of time was wild, going to put that money into some high value illustration rares for the collection.😎
I was able to get fusion strike from the UK PC store at 220 before it sold out and watched it ride all the way to 500 not even a couple months ago. Came back to the hobby and I hear the stories about how it used to be 80 bucks, and you're right that people won't look at the deals in front of them lol
im so mad here in europe a big shop trimmed my prismatic 90% 1 day before release ...they knew this like a month before what numbers they would get....
I'm a collector but I do feel for the true investors who get lumped in with flippers and scalpers. Wildly different but most are too short sided to see it
You are aboslutely right Alex. "You have your chance" couldn't have said it better. 151, CZ and all those mid and late swsh set was cheap at one point and now people complain why it's going up and now they want it but realized it's out of reach already.
Spot on once again. I so enjoyed your rip n ship yesterday with them mystery slab packs. Best idea. Also I bought Japanese 151 at $160, $175 and as high as $190 and then they crashed and I didn’t blink. I bought them at $50. Bought 3 for the price from before. I’m sure if they reprinted Evo yeah you would lose a little equity but I know you would stock up in cheaper boxes because you believe in that set.
I still think it’s going to be hard to find for ALOT of people. There is literally no way Pokémon can pump out so much out of nowhere that they can get product for so many people demanding it. It sounds crazy to actually believe it. People will still not be able to find it in store and it will still be sold out online. Like when the guy comes and stocks my local Walmart, I’ve caught him in there with his cart stocking the stuff… I actually was chatting with the guy while he was putting it on the shelf. He emptied the entire cart and put 4 151 etbs out and left. 4 ETBS!! That 1-2 people seeing it and bam it’s gone until next stocking day. These people thinking they’re gunna be able to stock up on prismatic like that is just funny to me.
There's no way they weren't already printing at max capacity already. I think Pokemon is doing a PR announcement to try and push scalpers to not hoard product or push prices to be as high which is at least something good.
I’ve heard from Multiple people in the know say everything pretty much prior twilight has been printed. The newer stuff from surging on is what the will try to print more of however they can’t even keep up with demand of the new stuff.
To make an actual difference, there’s gotta be rules for distributors, and stores need to put the products behind the counter and enforce purchase limits. Otherwise this “reprint” will continue to be swallowed up.
As a casual collector I don't mind some exclusivity. Makes the one or two chase cards way more fun to find. When you pull a $500 card that's fun. Also when you dont its awful. When you have a set printed to the ground the hits won't be worth as much. Makes it less fun for me personally. Then again I've never been in an era where pokemon is available. Maybe that would be more fun like u said
Exactly Alex speaking the true & they say if price gets cheap they will do this or do that often do not followup on what they say & talk crap when price goes up & they did not buy those plays
Spot on take. Anybody that bought in heavily above MSRP deserve to take an economic bath. Capitalism in its purest form is and will always be survival of the fittest. Businesses opening, businesses closing, Timmy #1 winning, and Timmy #2 having to pay me to represent them in a divorce because they went $26k in secret credit card debt, etc, are all part of the game and signs of a healthy market. Rudy put out a fantastic video on this point a few days ago.
Facts! 🔥They’re so much product that anyone can buy and ppl keep complaining and complaining! 😂 The new stuff is obviously expensive and if it’s too expensive don’t buy it until we get more supply - buy something else for now! Pokémon prints so many products - buy those products that aren’t expensive if you really need to collect and enjoy ripping packs 🤙🏽😂😎
I agree with a lot of what you're saying that should pokémon really do a sizable reprint where cases can come down to maybe 800 to $850 then whoever doesn't pick it up can only blame themselves. I have been stacking cash and will be utilizing some freed up debt intelligently to pick up four cases of surging Sparks and four cases of temporal forces ( although we are not sure if temporal forces is getting a reprint). I love collecting master sets of specific sets I care about and I also love investing in pokémon but when things are so expensive out of the gate is where it gets very annoying. I think surging sparks definitely should have been printed much more than what it was and I'm pretty sure it's getting a reprint and I hope it's a sizeable one where I can pick up enough cases to feel satisfied.
But what about the pokemon center exclusive etbs? Everyone talks about the growth of the standard etbs, but I've never heard anyone mention the pokemon center exclusives. I think that's an extremely viable question.
Being an investor yourself, You seem to fail to understand the mindset of a true collector (ie: those who OPEN and collect the CARDS). Collectors don't invest in sealed product, otherwise we'd be investors. We may keep a couple of sealed PC ETBs as they are collectibles themselves, but we aren't hording product. We have a right to complain now and yes we WILL buy when the pries come down to MSRP and we WON'T be the ones holding out for sub-MSRP when prices drop because WE"RE NOT INVESTORS! True collectors only buy what we want rip and put in our binders till we reach the point of getting too many duplicates and turn to buying singles to complete our master sets. That way we don't have a negative impact on supply because we're only buying a modest amounts of product compared to rip and shippers and investors. All the collector wants is to be able to easily and casually pickup any current product on a whim without having to hunt or pay scalper prices. We just want product to be readily available on store shelves and on Amazon with free prime shipping. I don't think that's too much to ask.
Pokemon attempted to do damage control and probably got fed up with Pokerev subscribers harrassing them about PE allocations. Pokemon can't even keep SS on shelves, let alone PE. People think Pokemon is going to magically have the reprint out next week, and prices will crash 😂
I want the most insane reprint ever. Pokemon needs to fix their fuckin mess. I want to see this set EVERYWHERE i want this to be crown zenith stocked up. I want it dripping off the shelves. I want its value to drop to $20 an etb. We need this to save the hobby
Let them Reprint. Just means more opportunities for us all to invest at MSRP for huge long-term gains. This set will gain value faster than evolving skies post-print in my humble opinion. Especially with the possibility of a $5,000+ Eeveelution god pack. Mark my words this set is going to make some of us VERY wealthy. If i can truly find this set at MSRP throughout the year I will continue investing heavily.
I got some Prismatic Evolution PCETBs on the pokemon center early but I also just bought some people's preorders at $240 a PCETB. And guess what? Going to try and buy more on the Pokemon Center Friday! Just like 2021 ,22, 23, 24, I'm staying the course!
The Timmy’s are making a huge mistake by selling now after the announcement of the reprint by TPCi, unless they don’t mind leaving gains on the table. I find the announcement vague and sketchy, not because they just rehashed the same old announcement from the past. It’s the content and wording of the announcement. 1) Printing to the max. Are they not doing that now? If not, then printing to demand and reprints would not be a problem now. 2) Availability.... in the coming months. The “s” in months. It could be 4+ months. By that time, demand will still keep prices high. Look at reprints of 151 (4 months after announcement) via Blooming Waters. It hasn’t arrived yet and everyone is pushing, shoving, cops are being called at Costco’s. They have to reprint Surging Sparks and look at the price points now? Why are we not whining on those reprints? As Alex, Brian, and Rudy have been saying.... this bull cycle is just simmering. We have not seen the top blown off yet.
If they switch to full on prismatic printing, JT & Rocket will suffer. There isn’t a good way to deal with this demand. And Prismatic has the demand, they would have to do massive dumps now, we are already seeing the supply being non existent. The people saying wait til msrp are funny
Clearly, it's a business tactics. So sad to see the world is so enslaved into non-reality and calling it an hobby just because there is a community of people with same psychological disorder.
If it's true, this is definitely good. Now you won't have to fight for packs to Rip and Ship. People won't be fighting to check out. There will be stuff to invest in. I'm sorry for people who stepped out of their comfort zone and bought at MSRP intending on not missing out. There's no guarantee they made a bad move, but it's why you should never invest with a hard time limit.
for weeks, I've been watching videos about Pokemon like I used to watch news shows on TV. as if the pokemon card had replaced the dollars what happened in my life?
A little bit too late. They should have anticipated the hype/demand so it never got to this point in the first place. You can't tell me they didn't see this coming.
No, they won't. 1. they send the same notice last time, guess what, nothing changed. 2. since pokemon company alreadly bought the print factory. their capacity is limit, and it is in full capacity working on these popular sets coming in 2025, they won't risk it. 3. Even walmart rise the MRSP, also some other big retailers and distributors. This hype is made by Pokemon company, the reason is to rise price later this year. like $6 per pack and lower the scalpers profit margin.

Amen!! Even though pokemon says they will print more, i bet the local store shelves empty just as always.
It’ll just fund scalpers if they don’t change the way distro is doing stuff right now
To make an actual difference, there’s gotta be rules for distributors, and stores need to put the products behind the counter and enforce purchase limits. Otherwise this “reprint” will continue to be swallowed up.
Banquet halls of meals together 🤣you make my sides hurt bro lmao!!
Maybe that would be more fun like u said
You do realize we still won’t be able to get it right? Even with these reprints no regular person will get any
I'm gonna take them all and everyone be back crying
If you make a product and it doubles in price before you even release it you make more.
Exactly Alex speaking the true & they say if price gets cheap they will do this or do that often do not followup on what they say & talk crap when price goes up & they did not buy those plays
the fear mongering is crazy with the title lol
This was the most accurate post of the last two weeks of creators posting doom and gloom, lol.
Biggest advice in investing as the great Warren buffet states, buy the fear and when no one’s else is buying😉
They should make a movie "The Big Short: Pokemon Edition"
still my favorite pokeMAN channel. TY for the insights
You hit the emotional sentiment of investing right on the nail. You have to take advantage of the opportunities!
Managed to find them at my local target while the vendor was restocking he only had 5 etbs
The amount of hopium out there is wild. People thinking they’re reprinting Sw/Sh, smh. We’ll see how people like this stuff if it does come down
I agree with a lot of what you're saying that should pokémon really do a sizable reprint where cases can come down to maybe 800 to $850 then whoever doesn't pick it up can only blame themselves.
Theyve said theyre printing more of the set, not specifically ETBs. If we dont get more the promo could be silly
People saying that this product won’t be at MSRP at some point, are insane.
Keep waiting for it😂
@ I already have pc etb’s and some binder collections that are MSRP. I’m not waiting for anything.
@ I can tell you’re new.
The amount of levered up 17 year olds in the comments is astounding. A lot of people here are going to be hurting next year
Being an investor yourself, You seem to fail to understand the mindset of a true collector (ie: those who OPEN and collect the CARDS).
Costco craziness is still going blooming water just got drop and sold out in 5 minutes
Facts on top of facts on top of facts. Let’s see people actually get product with the massive reprints and see if they complain after.
The wolf of Wall St of Pokemon cards
Finally I can get things cheap, first thing I kept sealed was a paradox rift @ 110 and I wanna get different sets to hold
This is gonna be great! Thanks for the in depth updates as always!
Thanks for the update 🥃
Let them Reprint. Just means more opportunities for us all to invest at MSRP for huge long-term gains. This set will gain value faster than evolving skies post-print in my humble opinion. Especially with the possibility of a $5,000+ Eeveelution god pack. Mark my words this set is going to make some of us VERY wealthy. If i can truly find this set at MSRP throughout the year I will continue investing heavily.
I wonder if reprints in SV could help cool SWSH, too? If people can buy SV again will that slow down other purchases?
I appreciate the enthusiasm Alex, but reprints will not affect the price, everyone is really underestimating the demand right now.
So wait a week after the 18th of release for cheaper prices... Hopefully...
How many players really rip packs trying to pull play sets of playable cards lol
I got some Prismatic Evolution PCETBs on the pokemon center early but I also just bought some people's preorders at $240 a PCETB. And guess what? Going to try and buy more on the Pokemon Center Friday! Just like 2021 ,22, 23, 24, I'm staying the course!
I've seen enough of you, Alex, to know you need to enter the world of UFC cards.
History doesn't repeat but it sure does rhyme 😂
Been watching you for about a year now. The arrogance has gone from 10 to 1000. Chill dude.
Pokemon bought several print groups….not just printers…People are so naive when they say that this is anything like 2020 or 2021…😂😂
Listening to this video while I’m taking a 💩 then all I heard was SHUT UP caught me off guard lol like ayoooo
If it's true, this is definitely good. Now you won't have to fight for packs to Rip and Ship. People won't be fighting to check out. There will be stuff to invest in. I'm sorry for people who stepped out of their comfort zone and bought at MSRP intending on not missing out. There's no guarantee they made a bad move, but it's why you should never invest with a hard time limit.
for weeks, I've been watching videos about Pokemon like I used to watch news shows on TV.
as if the pokemon card had replaced the dollars
what happened in my life?
Do you guys think the 151 cards will drop in price because it gets reprinted?
Reactionary. I actually think prices are gonna rise back up in the short term.
I'm going to buy boxes and putting them away now. Let's go!
A little bit too late. They should have anticipated the hype/demand so it never got to this point in the first place.
You can't tell me they didn't see this coming.
I presonally think only prismatic needed a reprint but ill buy surging sparks the reprint is large enough its such a good set.
Alex, a poketuber called you a short term investor... haha
Im not here 👀
I believe that pokerev video he made was a top signal. Obviously not the top right now
No, they won't. 1. they send the same notice last time, guess what, nothing changed. 2. since pokemon company alreadly bought the print factory. their capacity is limit, and it is in full capacity working on these popular sets coming in 2025, they won't risk it. 3. Even walmart rise the MRSP, also some other big retailers and distributors. This hype is made by Pokemon company, the reason is to rise price later this year. like $6 per pack and lower the scalpers profit margin.
