Such a beautiful knife, this will be my next purchase before it disappeares off the Shepard Hills website hopefully! This Friday going for this and the Case Peanut in Blue Mediterranean Pocket Worn Bone and after my refund comes in from Amazon gonna get a medium stockman in Pocket Worn Mediterranean as well. so I bought this same color and jigging pattern in the large stockman pattern with the squared bolsters.
I love the colors, but what aggrevates me is that one side is dominated by green, and the other side is dominated by blue. I've never had a Case knife that both sides look so different! I love Case, but they drive me nuts sometimes.
The 2nd knife I'm waiting on is the Large Stockman, the last one they had in stock. I'm really nervous about the quality wondering if they were picked through or not. As far as the color, my sodbuster is a little uneven from side to side and I think it ads to the uniqueness of the knife, I just hope the shape is even side to side. @JohnKlahr I love the Case Large Stockmans. It's a lot of knife! It does definitely add to the uniqueness, but I just wish they matched a little better.
Fit and finish was good on mine, but not great. Scales were not flush against the bolster.
I agree with your statement, it's exciting waiting on a knife in the mail, but I find myself disappointed sometimes in what I get sent.
I'm not sure, but I think "swell" refers to the swell from the side view. You might want to check out the half whittler pattern if you aren't familiar with it. It's thinner than the small swell center because it doesn't have the center liner and better looking (in my opinion).
I didn't order this knife until it went on special due to the swell in the photos did not look good to me .
But let me say, in the hand I REALLY LIKE this knife. Really, really, like this knife!
