Oh thank god. The video started out looking like it was in portrait like they made it for tiktok or something and ported it to youtube. (I guess I am still in PTSD because of a video about a video game that did exactly that)
would you think that by being able store sprouts for later use it actually takes away some interaction? previously there was an incentive to keep track of everyone’s tableau and take the action to gain sprout when other players don’t have enough empty space to fit the sprouts in but it doesn’t seem to matter anymore
yup, that's an example of the interaction in the base game when everyone says there's no interaction. tbh i won't mind seeing it go though because it can be pretty aggressive, and i like that 1 negative interaction being replaced by a whole bunch of positive interactions! :)
thx for the reply. do you think it would break the game (conflicting with other new mechanisms/cards) if i play with the expansion but still enforce the no sprout storage rule?
i suppose not, but it might make the game a bit more unpleasant because everything else now has a lot more flexibility, to the sprouts would be sort of an odd resource compared to everything else post seeds.
Can’t help but wonder why this is going to crowdfunding vs retail?
because boardgame development is a business of very narrow margins, where even the biggest and most successful companies are often only one step away from insolvency, and using kickstarter is a way to help ensure that they don't go under.
You can't drop a hint like that without expanding - what game might supplant Earth as the number 1 for 2023???
