    Uni -T UT383BT Lux meter
    www.uni-trend....
    I test the newest version of the PPFD meter app for android with blootooth pairing to the UNI-T UT383BT lux meter to see how accurate it is compared to the Apogee SQ500 quantum sensor, a highly accurate PAR meter.
    I test using the ARAY 2 +RED which has 3500K white leds and added 660nm reds. The setting on the App was set to high CRI LED 3000K and the readings were 92% accurate.
    I will be working with the App developers to see if we can improve the accuracy with updated calibration for the most common LED grow light spectrum on the market.

    This PPFD Meter_android app has made my last two grows rather impressive.
    If I do say so myself. From a single cola bud on a 14 inch stem to 553 grams
    (Wet weight) between two smallish plants (topped autos) all because the cost
    effective (cheap) manufacturers light specifications hanging height and Zero
    about the dimmer. Stunting growth Too bright. PPFD meters from $350 to $550
    this will no do. Using a $40 UT383 BT Lux sensor with a +/- 9% accuracy. I'm
    all in for that solution. Working great. Thanks again...Tony Firehelmet

    I have this app, Im just using the light sensor on my S9+. Calibrater to the par maps of a mars hydro 1000 and 2 spider farmer 1000s. All 3 are about one year old. It is surprising to me the drop off I have on one of the sf1000s. One is about 65% of what the mars hydro is putting out, the other sf1000 is about 80%. The mars is doing the bulk of the work in the middle of the 2 spiders 🕷.
    This has kicked me in the ass to get a new light set up. Thank you Shane.

    Happy Days. I like this app and noticed this on the update. I think its pretty accurate. But the main use is to use it as an average check so to see where the light is in different areas and not really looking at the numbers. That's what i find most useful.

    • @MIGROLIGHT
      @MIGROLIGHT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    That 8% difference might be attributed to the temperature value that you used. Maybe the meter is actually more accurate than that. Knowing the Kelvin temp of the light is a little difficult. I guess you could get a meter for that. But, like previously stated, the accuracy of the PAR is not really what is important. More so, getting an even spread of light over the entire canopy.

In the 500nm say 0,2 photo sensitivity (a/w). In the 600nm say 0,3 photo sensitivity (a/w). In the 660nm say 0,2 photo sensitivity (a/w). Thats a good spectral response or very poor???
