There will be a number of times on any wedding were you will be dealt with low light situations, most modern cameras can deal with this by simply increasing your ISO but is that the right thing to do? In most occasions this will be absolutely fine but adding lights into mix can vastly improve your overall exposure, add better skin tones and generally make your footage POP with very minimal effort. In this video we share our very basic techniques for adding lights throughout certain sections of the day and also the lights we use, see the links below.

Thank you. Good luck with your first shoot and don't worry too much if you make mistakes, this is how you will learn😀

Awesome! Funnily enough, I’m a photographer looking for some LED lights for the dance floor… think you’ve just convinced me!
And a familiar accent, too! I’m only down the road in wigan

      NORTHERN ARMY :)
I know plenty of togs who use these lights, they really can help out and such a good price.

Have you got a link for the stands and batteries please :) I saw a photographer use these and was amazed how bright they were for the price!

Michael, details are updated to include the current setup. Just make sure you buy stands that are pretty high so you are definitely over any heads on the dancefloor to avoid shadows casting.

thank you. Im trying to learn about lighting but get the feeling it can be too overdone for a wedding, where there are already so many things happening and not how you expect. keep it simple

With all aspects of filming a wedding, keeping them simple is essential. Try doing too much and you'll miss so many shots!

Do you have a current model for the lights you use? Those links are no longer active items

Spencer, yes they do seem to have disappeared. I did but this recently, i actually preferred these over the original, NanGuang LED Fresnel Light CN-8F
