in the 80s friends pulled 4 bodies out of the end of tree trunk gorge (where they were getting in) after the went down in a home made raft. it is presumed the missed the get out, and went over the first drop which no one kayaks. So sad. but it also nice to see it being done safely and it is such a beautiful place which thankfully few people know about.
It is the Tongariro river. Normally you get out before it if you don't want to die!? They portaged the first drop which is pretty nasty. The gorge took 4 people lives in the 80s when they went down in a home made raft and only 3 were found to my knowledge. My old neighbours pulled 3 of them out as they were getting in at the end of the gorge.
The Tongariro river, this is awesome! I was born & bred in the Turangi area. You have to be crazy!
Nouria, you're inspirational.

Has anyone figured out what the music is for this yet?

*DOES THE SEAL LUNCH*0:52 awesome BOOF sound
why does no one ever run the left line on the first drop under the bridge?
it always looks like a smooth boof into a fluffy soft landing.
There is a back pocket against the wall on river left
people have died doing that
Beeindruckende Klamm, schaut sehr mystisch aus. Grüße ronactive
