I just remembered you dropped this video a few days ago, I found Agatha Christie paperbacks today and at a dollar a piece I picked up three seeing how I had an extra three dollars. Some great covers. Mystery novels can be a toss up between good or just bland.

The reason I wanted to post now is because I just picked up a smashing book that I think you will enjoy and find useful and it is connected to the present subject. The book is called "Agatha Christie's Poirot" By Mark Aldridge. It is a complete bibliography and filmography of all of the detective's appearances. Some great reproductions of vintage covers, which we love of course. I just picked up about 10 vintage Christies at my local used book store. They had just got in a large haul of Christies and they were selling like hot cakes. Glad I got in when I did. O the excitement of book collecting . Also Jules I was going to say good luck with your training and new job. Just do whatever you can do, no worries if you don't have time to put up new content. You have so many older episodes to explore, it will keep us fans busy for awhile. Well cheery O from across the pond.

I haven't *quite* got a top ten as most of my non-Poirot Agatha Christie books are collected in omnibus editions published by HarperCollins...but some covers that do stand out are: 'The Moving Finger', and 'Dead Man's Mirror', both published by Dell; 'Murder in Three Acts', published by Popular Library; 'Easy to Kill', published by Pocket Books; 'Murder in the Mews' and 'Three-Act Tragedy' (both the 2002 Signature Editions); 'Cards on the Table' (the 2001 Signature Edition). You mentioned the artist Tom Adams in your video...I especially liked his artwork for 'Hercule Poirot and the Greenshore Folly' (2014).
@@JulesBurt I absolutely *had* to buy the US editions of 'Three-Act Tragedy ', 'The Moving Finger', and 'Murder is Easy' after reading in John Curran's "Agatha Christie's Secret Notebooks" that the US and UK editions of these books contained significant differences. And, yes, a video of viewers suggested covers would be interesting.
Nice video as always, Jules. My favourite covers are the ones Tom Adams did for Pocket Books. They are not as popular as the Fontana but I like that the image wrap around the book. And the covers he did for Raymond Chandler are just fantastic. I also like the Dell covers, especially the mapback, it's a nice gimmick. Ludmilla

No horror or fantasy that I know of Sylvan but the book of Tom Adams is worth tracking down.👍
