Re: your dad's slippers, can you consider asking a nursing home or assisted living place near you if there is a gentleman that doesn't have family members and bless him with them? It's hard losing your father (still dealing with mine,too) but maybe you can brighten someone else's day with them. Just a thought. Hang in there!

Re your Dad´s slippers. Go , yourself, to a local old folks home, and donate it in person. The process might be cathartic and someone else´s Dad will enjoy their coziness. Just an idea. Good video. Loved the thrifting in Japan video too. Those kimonos!
Lori, do you have a Hospice near you? Maybe donate the slippers to them for someone there that needs them? Thinking of You, my friend. I have been there. When my Dad passed and we would find things meant for him, I gave them to people who I knew would appreciate them and it just made my heart warm.

I agree with another comment, if the returns for the Birkenstock and the LLBean do not pan out perhaps it can bring you a little joy helping a couple nursing home residents.

I love the idea of using the cart to roll around, I have that same cart, I might have to use it the same way. You really have been inspiring me to clear out some of my death pile. Kinda why I started doing what not, I decided if a item doesn't sell after a couple of times in a show it will be donated...
One corner at a time. That’s what I’ve been doing too. These videos are inspiring me to keep going. I tackled my garage today as we just bought a freezer and had to make room. The unlisted inventory I found in there was insane! But it looks so good now. I also did my linen closet and like you I keep looking at it cuz it looks so organized and nice! Way to go to all of us on this journey!🎉

hi Lori so glad you are back. I really love these videos. I spent the whole day listing and uncluttering I filled three bags today and put them in my trunk, but still have so much more I am giving myself to November when I am going to Fl to.visit my grown kids, sisters and my 6 beautiful grandchildren. I want my visible clutter to be gone, and want to have made a dent in my death piles about 8 laundry baskets full of unlisted stock and a lot of things I just don't want to list to go through and check for value. I am embarrassed that my nosey inlaws may see my hidden secrets when I am traveling to see my family. Its my goal to get a grip on these things. I shop when I am sad, lonely, happy etc and like you said in your video sometimes we buy all these things with the intention well I can sell it but then we don't get it listed right away . I have found some hidden gems as well to add to my own closet. thanks again for all you do and have fun in Florida I grew up there and when my youngest graduated we moved to Alabama hence the loneliness I miss my family. I edited this hope it makes more sense now . Also hope Lumpy feels better.

Nordstrom takes everything back! try! or start a Christmas shelf for gifts. I am going thru the same issues. Two sister died this last and hubby had a stroke bad year too. I am just now able to go through sisters stuff. I feel you!!
I have a cart like that and I use it for my shipping - tape gun, polymailers, padded mailers, lint roller, scissors, thank you cards/stickers, ruler. It’s very handy

Now that the kids are gone, I think you need to move all of your shipping and sewing supplies downstairs. Keep your resell business completely downstairs. Then make your office, your filming room and whatnot show room. Then keep all of your fountain pens and journaling stuff upstairs (I think it was Anthony's old room). I'm sure it can be confusing when you have three different rooms and you're shuffling items around from downstairs, to dining room, to office, and back. Leaves a lot more room for error. All of your inventory, shipping, labels, boxes, stickers, etc. need to be downstairs. No clothes in the office except for whatnot show items.
I agree. I heard a lot of “this is going to go upstairs, this to the basement…” keep reselling stuff in one place! Also, beware of rats, mice, bugs, etc.moving into all of the boxes you keep in the garage. How much do you actually need?

The LL bean slippers….get rid of them. You are the one associating them with your dad. They meant nothing to him because he didn’t get to enjoy them. They bring you sadness. Let them go. Your carrying negative feelings with them. Let them bring someone else happiness…not sadness. And remember, they were not your dads…your the one who is associating them with him. Hugs!!

Once again, u are my hero, my role model, u are to me what Amber Resells and Common Tags were to u when u were first starting out! 🥰😍❤ I just want u to know how much I adore u and treasure u and long to mimic ur strength and ability on a daily basis. Thanks for putting yourself and ur life out there for ppl like me to gain hope and knowledge from. Hopefully, one day, I'll get to meet u! It would be an honor. P.S. This is awful so just disregard if it's totally ridiculous lol but in the past when I've run into shoe dilemmas like the ones u have, I have gotten some joy from giving them to my boys (my 4 dogs) and watching their little faces and tails wag while they chew away and destroy the poor shoes lol. And actually they didn't always completely destroy them, they still have some today that they use as toys. I have 2 tripawds and⁷ one has to constantly have a toy in his mouth, it soothes him. He will even sleep with it lol. ✌️💜✌️💜✌️
I've been one to clean out regularly. With that said, stuff still seems to accumulate. I have one closet that is the catch-all. I too do not want my children to have to clean out our stuff!! I feel more peace when my house is in order.
I grew up in a large family, I’m 5th in line of 8. 2 older sisters so I got A LOT of hand me downs I had to wear. Although I am appreciative of having clothes to wear, I still wanted my own style. I had 3 “church” dresses, and about 4 outfits for school. My parents were wonderful parents and they did the best they could. All that being said, I use to wish I had a wardrobe of clothes to choose from. I started working and buying my own clothes…….this turned into a clothes nightmare thru the years. Hence now the purging began. It was really hard to let go of some items and i literally hyperventilated a few times. But, once I started getting rid of clothes I’ve had for years, I started feeling like weights were falling off my shoulders. Now when I buy anything new, I get rid of something out of the closet. This has been going on for two years and I feel like a new woman. I’ve lost 106 pounds and exercising and feel wonderful in my 60’s!! I purged in my house and my body and spirit.
I think Lori, you should take those pair of slippers and make something out of it, maybe get someone to sew photos of your Dad on them, this would make a fanastic memory piece..

My parents were horters ! So I was the one who had to clean and organize them. Yea! Every room in the house, my mom would ask/ tell me to clean and organize it! I can't handle clutter because of this. So yes I do have a poshmark account! I reorganize and declutter 3 times a year. I can't have over 600 items in my poshmark closet! I just can't! I feel so overwhelmed if I have too much stuff. Everything in my life is organize. I can't live any differently! I can just imagine how you feel!
Sell the shoes/slippers - you may lose some money on your investment, but, sitting in your house, you've lost a lot more money than if you sell them. I know it's hard, especially the slippers for your dad, but you can do this!
Unless things have changed since I worked there in the 90s, Nordstrom is known for their absurdly, exceptional return policy. If there’s a Nordstrom sticker on the box, you likely can return them for store credit. And if they’ve never been worn, maybe they’ll end up at Nordstrom rack 🤷🏼♀️ Such a good video - I’m inspired to sort and declutter - thanks!

Shoe size 3,5 is probably a UK shoe size, pretty small. Europaen size 38 is UK size 5. Sorry, don't know the American equivalent. Impressed by your videos, need to do the same🤗
Hey 👋, I have so much stuff I was selling on poshmart but u haven't been getting any sales maybe 2 the whole summer so iam stuck with stuff every where 😱
Make sure your groomer isnt drugging Lumpy without your permission. It happened to my moms dog. Everytime she came home from groomer she was sick and she would just lay around and sleep for the next 24 hrs. Come to find out later that the groomer was giving the dogs Benadryl, cbd, and something else to "relax and calm" them to make it easier for her to groom them. Without consent from owners. My mom was very upset understandably. Not to worry you but it is something to look into and keep an eye on, especially since you mentioned he is often like this after grooming.

But, once I started getting rid of clothes I’ve had for years, I started feeling like weights were falling off my shoulders. Now when I buy anything new, I get rid of something out of the closet. This has been going on for two years and I feel like a new woman. I’ve lost 106 pounds and exercising and feel wonderful in my 60’s!! I purged in my house and my body and spirit.
I think Lori, you should take those pair of slippers and make something out of it, maybe get someone to sew photos of your Dad on them, this would make a fanastic memory piece..

My parents were horters ! So I was the one who had to clean and organize them. Yea! Every room in the house, my mom would ask/ tell me to clean and organize it! I can't handle clutter because of this. So yes I do have a poshmark account! I reorganize and declutter 3 times a year. I can't have over 600 items in my poshmark closet! I just can't! I feel so overwhelmed if I have too much stuff. Everything in my life is organize. I can't live any differently! I can just imagine how you feel!

Sell the shoes/slippers - you may lose some money on your investment, but, sitting in your house, you've lost a lot more money than if you sell them. I know it's hard, especially the slippers for your dad, but you can do this!

Unless things have changed since I worked there in the 90s, Nordstrom is known for their absurdly, exceptional return policy. If there’s a Nordstrom sticker on the box, you likely can return them for store credit.
And if they’ve never been worn, maybe they’ll end up at Nordstrom rack 🤷🏼♀️

Make sure your groomer isnt drugging Lumpy without your permission. It happened to my moms dog. Everytime she came home from groomer she was sick and she would just lay around and sleep for the next 24 hrs. Come to find out later that the groomer was giving the dogs Benadryl, cbd, and something else to "relax and calm" them to make it easier for her to groom them. Without consent from owners. My mom was very upset understandably.
Not to worry you but it is something to look into and keep an eye on, especially since you mentioned he is often like this after grooming.
