      Doku absolutely does kick the ball away. Michael Oliver isn’t pointing to where the foul occurred for one, so he’s already mucked that up, but then Doku kicks the ball so that it winds up a good 5 yards back from where the referee is indicating, nowhere near an Arsenal player and miles off from where the foul occurred (which is just inside the City half). It has to be a yellow for consistency, but it isn’t because they don’t actually give a goose’s bollocks about consistency

So why did he want to ruin this game? Why didn't he stick to the rules last time? I disagree with some of what Mark is saying. The job of a referee is to enforce the rules in a manner that is fair to both teams. They are not there for entertainment. That’s the players job.
    The only reason the match official should not have given a second yellow card to Trossard is that he might not have heard the whistle. There was only a fraction of a second between the whistle and his kick of the ball. Under those circumstances, the referee should have exercised his discretion and not shown the yellow card. But that is a judgment call. This is a case where the call was likely correct but the result was wrong.
    Lastly Erling should have received a straight red card for his violent conduct. Smashing the ball off an opponent’s head must be considered violent conduct. If he is not suspended, the league is saying that this behavior is legal and acceptable. To me, this issue is a much bigger issue than the second yellow to Trossard.

    Look i’m trying to be as unbiased as possible here. Oliver had an absolute rotter for both teams, however i think the trossard yellow is the correct decision. First he elbows Silva in the back, which in some cases have been given a yellow, and then he kicks the ball away when Walker is going to get it wanting to take a quick free-kick. If you look back to when Silva and Doku kicked the ball away, no Arsenal player was intending to take a quick one so Oliver probably didn’t see it as a yellow card offense. All that being said however, i understand why fans are angry, the refs 1000% need to be more consistent
    And a word on the added time. Only 7 mins I thought was a joke but, Arsenal players were down with ‘cramp’ which lasted 2 mins (90-92) so the ref was most likely instructed to play 2 extra minutes over the allotted time because thats the amount of time the arsenal players were down for.
    Alas, Arsenal gave us a good test and we’ll see if this is a potential title deciding game.

    Mark thinks it's the WWE, the premise for football is not entertainment football is a sport people play football in grounds with no fans and no tv coverage but would you still call that entertainment. No it's a sport that is played competitively and the entertainment part comes with it. Just because your not entertained mark doesn't mean they have to cater to your needs hahaha but I know your ego won't like that fact.

      Then why are there fans there? Why do fans complain when a team 'doesn't play attractive football'... get a grip on reality, my friend, it is Sport & Entertainment.

    A second yellow and sending a player off just isnt fair. A first yellow is fine but they need a different rule if already on a yellow, 5 minute sin bin or something like that. It's a stupid rule and refs should use common sense and try avoiding sending a player off due to a poor rule!

    • @ka5333
      @ka5333 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Why? Everyone knows that a second yellow means you get sent off. This isnt some brand new rule that they introduced yesterday. If you don't wanna get sent off for a second yellow then don't do something stupid whilst on a yellow card...

    • @cill_bill_8315
      @cill_bill_8315 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @ka5333 Never said it was a new rule but like every year they decide to enforce certain rules and the impact has been harsh in some instances. Like you said its not a new rule but to start sending people off this season is just ridiculous
