Just a good tip, when rubber banding the ends, fold them for more strength and less breakage.

This video was SUPER helpful! I’ve been retwist it my wife’s locs for over a year now but yesterday I went and got me that comb with the pointy end and made sure her parts were very well defined. I then did the two strand twists for the first time and it looks AMAZING! I’m so proud of myself lol. What is in the oil that you use at the end though? I really want to try it…

This actually helped me a lot I’ve been retwisting my hair but it doesn’t last unless I style it and I get tired of barrel twist so I tried two strand but they never stayed and I just realised It’s because I twist in the same way I retwist the locs but now that I have said to go in the opposite of the retwist I tried it and it worked

When you’re twisting them together, what do you do when there’s an uneven amount? Like with the extra one in the row if that makes sense.

do you blow dry after the the retiwst? like to harden the gel or something? or just leave the hair a tad damp and air dry
Sometimes by the time im finished with the Retwist it’ll just be dry, if not they sit under the dryer for a few minutes.
Now I know the reason why it don’t turn out right when I do my bf hair🤦🏾♀️ I retwist to the right but when I do the 2 strand twist I also twist to the right lol. So, retwist to the right and then when doing the 2 strand twist go to the left

certain areas of my sons hair will not remain locked he’s hair dreds since 2019 after the pandemic with new hair growth we decided to loc the new growing areas that’s been at least two years now
that area the twist just will not stay any suggestions to help me
Try braiding it instead of twisting. Those will loc too.

This might be a silly question but do you leave the two strand twists in until the next retwist? Or do you untwist them at some point?
Isn’t interlocking better? It’s less manipulation to the loc and doesn’t stress them or thin them out.
No interlocking isn’t better and it can definitely cause stress and thinning
When you start it off with the comb .. wat are you going ? That part always goes to fast 😂.. lol
I just got starter 2 strand twist locs, its been 2 weeks since I had them. When do I start washing them and do I wash them like I would normally wash my hair? Also what do I moisturize them with?

Make sure her hair is really wet it shouldn’t hurt as much

How long does it take for you to do a retwist? No matter the length it’s been taking me 2+ hours I feel like that’s terrible??
When I first started sometimes it will take me three or four hours so just practice and your time will get less and less but it takes me an hour sometimes a little longer

What do you mean waxing? Don’t let nobody put wax in you hair ever! And honestly just look at pics of their work
