I "had to" read this in high school. I chose to come back and listen again now at age 25. Pay attention kids, there's a reason we make you read this (and 1984, Brave New World, Lord of the Flies, etc.)

You read the book so beautifully, I believe Orwell himself would have called it perfect reading. I listened to this in Spotify and came here to thank you. Subscription is least I could do.
I'm reading this for school right now. I have trouble sitting down and reading things, so audio books like this are incredibly helpful! Thank you so much for what you do!!
I think you really encapsulated each character into your different voices. They weren’t the greatest impressions of all time, but the effort really helped and made the audiobook better
@Boardonthekeyboard Don't be ridiculous...there's no way you listened to this entire book and thought "oh yeah Orwell would 100% be for a republican society"
Your voice is so pretty and nice to listen to, that I’m gonna check out your other vids. I’ve never read philosophy before, or much nonfic at all, but I’ll give it a shot
This was not requiring reading in high school or college, but it should have been! I would have appreciated this way more than Beowolf! I just finished 1984, too. Fantastic!
@@sophiesleeps12 you're right, but think of it this way. If someone just read the book and they simply want to share their opinion or talk a little more about the book. What better place than the same TH-cam video they used to read it? As the other person said, it's usually better not to go to the comments on any show or audiobook before you read it.
Nice little symbolism of how the state eventually gives zero fuck about you when you no longer make a profit. Instead of healing the horse it was rather sold to slaughter for one last extra dip of cash. I know this novel was anti-communism, but it could also be translated into anti-business as well.

I’m so glad I found this. I have to read this book for English and I’m blind so I had to find an audio version of it.
The ending is beyond perfect for this book. Orwell was a genius.
But the armchair Communists of the Fabian Society, who would have been the first against the wall in Stalin's Paradise, despised it and Orwell.

The voice is so beautiful! I think another book 1984 need your voice as well! It will make the book more “readable “
It was beautifully read, I’ve listened to lot of audiobooks but soo far this has been the best. Thankyou for making it soo fun and interesting.

Is there any particular reason why the voice of Napoleon is impersonated using a slavic accent?
I gave each character a different voice to help distinguish their speech from other characters/narration.
In my little understanding of Russian history Napoli the pig is a character on Stalin who him self was not an original Russian
Because he's a commie.
Napoleon was the old version of light yagami.
