This prequel to The Hunger Games focuses on Coriolanus Snow at age 18, years before he would become the tyrannical President of Panem. Young Coriolanus is handsome and charming, and though the Snow family has fallen on hard times, he sees a chance for a change in his fortunes when he is chosen to be a mentor for the Tenth Hunger Games, only to have his elation dashed when he is assigned to mentor the girl tribute from impoverished District 12.

The fight scenes don’t follow the book, in the book only 4 of the tributes rush the center at the start. It also shows Coral hitting someone which also didn’t happen

My theory is that people tend to live longer in the future because of their advanced medicine. So 82 is really freaking old for our time, but not so much for their time

@kmjkmjkmj Yes and the you get to read what inspired The Hanging Tree song. It all comes full circle. Absolutely brilliant. You may already know this, but Suzanne Collins' father was an Air Force Pilot in Vietnam and is now a military historian with a PhD. Explains why she wrote a masterpiece!!❤

@@lilac3266I have to concur with what you say here. Rachel is an actual perfect cast choice for the role of Lucy. She is gorgeous, she is sassy, she is mischievious. She will make a convincing Lucy and will win my heart as much as she earned Snow's. I always imagined her like what we see here while reading the book. People need to relax. We used to be able to joke and laugh. Now everyone gets offended and make drama out of trivialities. Rachel is a brilliant actress and she only said an opinion. Everyone has the right to utter an opinion. And besides her opinion was over a very old classic movie. People panic as if she uttered Nazi things. That's so much uneeded drama and fuss. We need to chill a little.
