The look on Mikes face as he's saying "It's a long list" is priceless. The little jokes and inserts are part of what makes these videos great. Thanks Mike!
This case is one of those ones where it's like, the guy isn't wrong, cops and prosecutors DO railroad suspects, flub evidence, get tunnel vision to bone someone even if they didn't do it, and prosecutors are complicit since both just want to get a win, especially in high profile cases ..buuut, he DID do it hahaha, so it's using a true argument to cover your ass and try and get away with it.
It's too bad the interrogation was edited to shit. I can't follow along with anything unless it's slowed to %.50 this channel used to be comprehensive and now it seems like it's all flash editing and inside-joke comedy bits. The life insurance policy dance was fun for a while, but it's getting corny and stale. I think farming out the editing is the main problem recently.

This story was made into a film called, “Georgetown”. Your in-depth discussion adds an interesting dive into the plot points of the film! Thanks for all you do!
The first interview the detective continuously stuttering and showing no confidence in his tone drives me absolutely mad how has this man made it so long in law enforcement he couldn’t have gotten Steve urkel to confess
I know it was weird, I wondered if he was still 'new' and given 1st chair coz he really lacked confidence or was intimidated for some reason? But to be honest, at first, I could only see the Detective to the left of screen and this Albrecht guy facing away and talking to the wall, not making eye contact, so I thought this unnerved the D on the left and he lost confidence being treated so invisibly like that. At some point I saw a foot or something on the right and realised it was another Detective🙄😂
My grandmother lived to be 98 and there were 2 different times that she hired caregivers and hid the emotional and financial abuse from her family. In fact I became her Summer caregiver and because of that I was able to get into her financial records and caught the first woman stealing from her and treating her very poorly. Same thing happened with the next person...they stole from her also and didn't care for her well at all. My grandmother took the abuse because she was terrified of being alone! These people also physically neglected her and I'm sure she was afraid for her life. My family lived far from her and we tried to put her in a facility but she refused. She was totally mentally sound and had nothing wrong with her but age so we couldn't force her. It was a completely awful situation. It sounds like that is what this poor woman went through something even worse. I'm sure Albert threatened all sorts of terrible things in addition to beating her. She was probably terrified of him and and afraid that he would kill her if she kicked him out. Sadly, she wasn't wrong. As soon as she decided "Enough is Enough" he murdered her. He's just evil, to torture and murder an elderly person takes a special kind of psycho!
Family do the same thing, my sister used our mums bank account like it was her own, hid letters, bills, etc. She didnt think as an executor of her will, i could get bank records sent to me...big shock when i confronted her!

IKR?! I also trust he's done his research. There's at least one crime podcaster I can't watch anymore because I don't trust what he says when he put out incorrect information in one of the crime stories he was relating which led some commenters to believe an innocent man could have committed the murder. It wasn't a minor detail. It only takes to double check the facts before it results in misleading the viewers.

"Thank you for the compliment" Bizarre to see this behaviour in a murder case. And so amusing. Because nobody was fooled, it looked more like entertainment than strategy.
I dated a guy EXACTLY like this dude. Lemme tell you - this guy is 100% sane. He is completely aware of how crazy he sounds and how bizarre he is acting. He thinks life is a game so he's playing in chaos mode. He learned early that if he's weird people don't know how to act and they let him get away with whatever he wants, boosting his ego. By the time consequences start falling on him, it's too late - he has lived the 'game god'life so long he thinks it's the best path to take for anything and everything.
You are absolutely right. People often give a pass to eccentrics when they seem harmless. I made a similar comment above. It was funny until it wasn't. He was 100% a fake about everything. Even his weirdness was fake.

This story was portrayed in a movie called “Georgetown” starring Christoph Waltz - an amazing performance. As an individual who lives in the DC area, I can honestly say that most of the people who are trying to gain access to that sacred “inner circle” of politics, are full of crap; always embellishing their accomplishments and trying to make the right “contacts” while stabbing their competitors in the back. Don’t get me wrong, there are a great deal of truly brilliant people in DC, but there are probably twice as many BS artists and throat-cutters right behind them.

This case is one of those ones where it's like, the guy isn't wrong, cops and prosecutors DO railroad suspects, flub evidence, get tunnel vision to bone someone even if they didn't do it, and prosecutors are complicit since both just want to get a win, especially in high profile cases

Something I've learned through watching true crime is that if someone tells you that they're a spy and regails you with stories about their secret super spy adventures, they probably aren't a spy

I love the big detective that just slowly inches his chair closer and closer to Muth 😂
And the ‘clearly’ 😬
All the ´you know´ drove me crazy!
I wonder if he did it on purpose to make him feel more comfortable and maybe slip up. Feed his ego
It’s a strategy.
People prey on the vulnerable
Why didn't you ask your grandmother to live with you? Or why didn't another family member do the same?
Family do the same thing, my sister used our mums bank account like it was her own, hid letters, bills, etc. She didnt think as an executor of her will, i could get bank records sent to me...big shock when i confronted her!
