Some artists turn a 10-minute pour into a 30-minute video. I could go on but bottom line ~ your presentation style is excellent and your art is beautuful.

Wow! This is the most precise, informative, clear and easy to follow How To for acrylic painting, anywhere on TH-cam! Being able to see each product example as you explained its purpose made all the difference! I am a soap maker and have been wanting to try acrylic painting.. I went to Michael’s when Michigan reopened and just stood there clueless about how to start! Thank you again. You should definitely start a class! Even remotely would be incredibly helpful. Send me a message if you do, I would sign up for sure! Thank you again! BTW that resin coated piece was gorgeous!
Hi hun I have to say thank you thank you thank you!!!!! I’m an artist & a crafter and really wanted to do a couple of pours for my living room but every time I watch videos they all use different things in pouring & yes, they look great but no-one ever breaks it down to 1. What you ‘really’ need & 2. What you need them for (what’s your end goal?) I was always led to believe I could only get cells with silicone or I ‘had to’ use floetrol but now I hear I can use glue!!?? I will buy floetrol when I can afford it but I could be pouring now as I have tons of glue & paint etc! I have to say this is the best ‘acrylic pouring breakdown’ video I’ve ever seen & I will be sending friends to watch it when they start asking me what I used in my future pours!! Off to watch your mixing video! 😉thanks again, Vick-Angel x
Thank you very much I just started doing it and my second acrylic pour came out really good but it lost it’s shine but I will put resin to make it very shiny and nice again 😎

I have not yet been able to NOT get cells, but if you mix your paint a bit thicker and let it sit with there's minimal air bubbles, that should definitely help prevent cells
I found using thinner paints, with water and one tablespoon of glue all. Can get you little to no cells. (although this mix isn't recommended due to the breakdown of the paints binders which over time can result in 'dry desert cracking' or heavy fading in color and Saturation.) As for modpodge. Yes. But! It yellows if In or near direct sunlight.
Very helpful information, thank you!! Especially all the different kinds of products and the examples really help to create a clear image. Wrote down the names, and definitely will consider these in making my first purchases :)
I love your videos and work!! Silly question but what do you lay your canvases on for painting and drying? I’ve tried paper, plastic but they tend to stick to the canvas sometimes damaging the artwork! 😢
I love how I started with sw c2g paint. M1 paint extender. Lube. soundboard cut down to 16x16 or 16x4ft . The same torch you have, 8 Styrofoam cups I'd wash and reuse over and over. One plastic knife I'd wash and reuse for every color. A clear heavy plastic shower curtain on a table that was soooooooo filled with paint after my first year of pouring And primer for the soundboard. 😅😂🤣😂😅🤣😂😅. It was a mess and alot of work! But I loved it!
Of all the sealers you talked about in the video please rate your most favored .. like I already know unless I am expert in liquid pours like you I won’t use resin. Which should I use as a beginner but have the fantastic pop of color result.
Is there any suggestion on how to get the canvas panels to not warp? It was my first experiment trying acrylic pouring and they all have warped so bad the cardboard is popping off. Maybe my paint was too watery?
Not that I know of (I have ones from years ago that look just like the day I made them). Your sealer is much more likely to yellow, but if you use a good sealer your painting should really last a long time
The mediums won't yellow. But the paints will fade if in a really sunny spot. Using a sealer with a uv resistant additive to it with help protect a little from fading and from turning the sealer yellow.. There are a lot of videos out there that review sealers and their uv resistance and uses to help you find the one that's best for you.
Hi :) love the video thank you. So you said the water can cause cracks and crazing , but you added water to the mixing bottle ? Can we add more paint instead to avoid the cracks ?
Water ALONE can cause the paint to crack if you add too much. When you use a pouring medium it helps bind the paint so that the water doesn't break it up. You can use just water, you just want to make sure not to add too much (like more than about 30%) or the paint will likely crack as it dries
the floetrol is the latex version? I am just starting and went to lowes,..the latex is all they had. I saw somewhere there is an acrylic version. So you use latex version?
I’m planning on redoing a computer desk (MDF board) with an acrylic pour of some kind (haven’t decided yet - working on smaller projects first). As it will be a useable desk with computers and periphery of external hard drives, what would you recommend for a finish? I was thinking epoxy resin might have the better overall protection.

Thanks for this. Very helpful for a newbie. ? for you: Only having watched & not having done any pouring yet, so i don't waste paint & materials, is there some starting point formula for how many ounces of paint for an X by X canvas? I mean, if your canvas is 8x8, you should plan to pour x ounces of mixed paint? But if you're doing a 5x7 canvas, mix x ounces. That'd be helpful to know as I plan out, mix & pour my first one. Thanks!
