Thank you Anna! I'm a first year Podiatry student at Wolverhampton University and I have my first exams online next week too. I've discovered I study best in the afternoon, so I've worked out a schedule for exercising and doing practical stuff in the morning and then revision in the afternoon. Good luck with your exams 🍀🤞💕
Oh also, and you probably know this so I don't mean to sound condescending - I have found it super beneficial to listen to my body. If I'm tired I have a nap, if I don't want to revise I don't. It's not about number of hours but quality of the revision you do :) and sometimes taking an hour off to do something you enjoy makes the rest of the day way more productive because you've stimulated your brain
The amount of content is crazy right😭 ?! I’m in my first year as a Graduate and honestly it’s crazy how much content we get through! Good luck with your exams! ☺️💕
I’m so glad you feel the same its honestly insane 🤣 I feel like I’ve covered double one of my a levels in just one term! But its so interesting so at least that helps. Hope your enjoying it, cant wait to catch up on more of your videos and thank you so much 💕 xxx
loved this hun, good luck for your exams!! love the study and general uni routine videos, would love to see morning & evening routines too!! also do you have a spotify study playlist? xxx
Thank you so much 💛, I will definitely make these really soon! I actually don’t listen to music much whilst I study, I tend to listen to white noise and the rain, but if I do I always play calm music with no words. I find songs with words always distract me as I end up listening to them and not concentrating on my work 😂 xx
Good luck with your exams! Watching you be so driven about medicine is very inspiring. I'm sure you will be an amazing doctor in the future and I'm so excited to follow you along! ❤️
Hey, hope you're well, love the video 😍 couple of ideas having been through these years at Bham - I wonder if you've thought about using an iPad and iPad pencil for work? I used to use whiteboards and stuff lots but actually lots of the diagrams or things I jotted down were useful, plus I was fed up with paper so I got an iPad and pencil in 2nd year after working over summer and it absolutely changed my work. I use an app called Notability and it's great, I do all my revision stuff on there too. I also took the flashcards approach in 1st year as flashcards always helped me but I found the same as you that when I came to make them over the Christmas revision period there just wasn't enough time and I think I ended up focusing too much on getting the cards made than actually understanding concepts. I committed to writing them as I went during semester 2 but it was just so busy that it didn't happen yet again 😭 I think it's taken me until now (half way through 4th year haha) to figure out what works for me. Have you heard of PassMed and PassTest? These are both question banks that I have found incredibly useful, and PassTest has questions tailored to the UoB style of questions. I've found the best way to get through the mountain of content was to start each day with a blank piece of paper on my iPad and I'd go through a load of questions on the question banks and as I came across topics or particular facts I wasn't aware of I'd just jot them down (sometimes I went and revised them then and there, the question banks give you concise info about them to) and went back to those topics after a break. It helped differentiate the things that I'd actually subconsciously picked up from what I needed to particularly focus on. I felt nervous that I wasn't making notes or flashcards on every single topic but actually I remembered loads more this time round. Obviously this is my own experience and yours might differ but always happy to chat about it! And the offer still stands that if you want to borrow my Gray's anatomy flashcards you're more than welcome and can easily drop them off to you! Good luck for Monday, you'll smash it xx
Hey Erin, thank you so much for such a lovely comment honestly this all helps so much! I’m going to try pass test and your idea to do a-bit each day, I think it takes a while to find a way that works best as it is so different to A levels. Exams went ‘okay’, I’m just happy the first set are done and to learn from them. I hope you are well and coping okay though all this craziness 💛 xx
@@annarebecca im belgian i go to UCL (louvain) here in Brussels ! Everyone is pretty pissed that we can have our exams in person, but then will have online school for the second semester... it doesnt make sense but nowadays what does ?
Good luck with your exams honey🥰 I’m overwhelmed with the amount of content too - how is there sooo much already, we’ve only been at uni for a term?! 😂
Thank you so much 💛 no I don’t I find the words really distracting 😂 so I either listen to music with no words or recently I have been listening to white noise. I literally love listening to the rain helps me stay concentrated for so much longer x
I just started my a levels and I just wanted to ask how early on did u start doing your revision like did u do it in day one of yr 12 or a later on btw I love your vids
no I didn’t, what I would really recommend is making sure you stay on top of your revision resources. So for a levels I wrote my revision notes and I did this as I went along and then properly started revising about 2 months before my exams. Hope this helps thank you so much for watching 💛
I loved the video a lot! I have been trying to research for video that informs the topics in this video! 🥼 👩⚕️Your lesson actually is like the channel of Dr Ethan.
