No problem for missing it 😊 I did start it on time - 4.00pm UK time. Jonah is a wonderful book, isn’t it? One of my favourites…

@@faithinabusyworld oh OK oh yes, I know you're on a different time zone. Yes it is a good book! Oh OK. I've been reading Job lately! I really can relate to what Job went thru, more than anyone else in the Bible!

I did have another question. Why is it that some people die , for example, from cancer, while others are healed? Could it be that that was their time to pass away, Gods time, of course. Im trying to understand Gods characteristics even more and I love God so much, so thats why Im asking.

That’s a good question - one that people have wrestled with for thousands of years! (Look at the Book of Job…)
Let me answer your question from a different angle…
By the time I was 15, I had 9 of my friends die. My wife died of cancer aged 36. My sister died of cancer aged 34. My best friend died in a freak accident aged 33. I have known tremendous trauma and loss in my life and wrestled with this question many times over.
My sense is very simply this: in a broken world, people get cancer. People die young. There is suffering. There is tragedy. I don’t believe God brings this. I think it’s just the way the world is…broken and fragile….
The question is not “Why does this happen?” It just does. The question is “Will I try to get through it on my own or in God’s strength?” Personally I want to rely on God. There’s no other way…
I don’t think there’s any reason behind suffering. It’s just life. But I do believe in a God who will sustain me through it.
      I hope that makes sense.
      Peace, Steve 😊🙏

@@faithinabusyworld Wow, I'm so sorry for your losses, Steve, my condolences! I've suffered so many losses myself! It's interesting you mention Job, I'm currently reading that book, as I mentioned in another comment here! Yes it does make sense what you're saying, we do live in a fallen and broken world! Thank you so much for explaining, my brother! Peace, Love and Hugs to you!
