Trotec is definitely worth a look. They develop all core components of their laser engravers, cutters and marking machines including drive systems, machine components, controls, electronics, electrics and software. The laser is produced by Trotec's sister company, Iradion Laser. Trotec's production sites and manufacturing lines in Austria, Germany, USA and China are organized based on the automotive industry manufacturing model for better efficiency and cost savings. Standard industrial components like motors, power supplies and touch displays are sources from Siemens, Beckhoff or TDK-Lambda for the highest quality standards. Their machines look impressive. Would love to see some cost estimates.
This is an excellent video filled with relevant laser information. Been looking for something like this but this is the only laser engraving manufacturer comparison I’ve found. Great work!
I bet you end up with an AEON… you could also consider the AEON that has both a RF and Glass tube, in the same machine, giving you the best of cutting and engraving. The Pre Redline name was a Super Nova. Lightburn supports doing a job with the ability to run both (either tube) on the same project. Great Video your work helps people in ways you may not even know. Cheers!
Thanks so much George! LOVE the option Aeon offers for BOTH RF and glass. Definitely an important consideration for us. We can only hope to someday achieve your level of artisanship! Looking into David Hawkins 😎
I'm in decision mode as well. I currently have an XTOOL D1 20W. Seems you've made a decision already. You said to the AEON rep, "looking forward to working with you in the future". I like AEON and THUNDER myself. Leaning towards THUNDER.
Epilog seems like they've become too big for their britches. Maybe it's me, but it seems like they know they're on top and don't care anymore. That's a dangerous attitude with innovations, similar features, and better pricing coming from Aeon, Trotec, Thunder, and even xTool. Almost pulled the trigger on Epilog, but now I probably won't go that direction.
I bought a Trotec speedy 100 ten years ago and not a thing has gone wrong with it , have since bought a speedy 400 120 watt and what a machine, there service is also very good.
That's great! We've been into lasers for about 8 months and after seeing Aeon's redline machines in their showroom along with top competitors. We are sold on Aeon. th-cam.com/video/BWSGSkecuMM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CGP2Q5LIwWwevRCM
Liked this video. I have a DIY C02 laser. The hardest part using it has been temperature (too hot in the garage) and fume extraction. I can exhaust the laser out the garage or window but then my neighbors will get it. I have been looking at filters to remove most of the odor. Hope you get your laser soom.
We are getting closer to get a CO2 laser. We did convert part of our garage to a "laser room" with AC as we vent out the door. We've only done this with our diode lasers so far and no ones complained....that we know of.
Nice video. I know you have the transcripts, but was wondering if you would share the list of questions you asked each company? Based on this video, Aeon and the new Redline Series were the winners with a very tight second going to Thunder Laser followed by Epilog and Trotek. All are excellent choices, and all have their own good points and imperfections. These are companies that are listening to their customers and making major changes to their infrastructure and product lines to more align with the needs of their customers. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks. We learned a lot. Don’t have the list of questions but they are in the video and you can pull them from the transcript. We decided to go with Aeon Redline Mira 9. Can’t wait till get it. Lots of videos coming once it arrives.

Yea I was considering Aeon but the leadtimes are prohibitive for a fast moving business.
@@skallinator Aeon lead times can be a little disconcerting.
It was great meeting you guys!
DUDE! Excellent interview, thank you so much for taking the time to do that. Hope your voice recovers quickly.
It was so great getting to chat with you, until next time!
We enjoyed the show and getting to meet everytone at Aeon. We're very excited about the new Redline series.
Have you spoken with Monport or OMTech yet? Definitely will be some language barriers. Curious to see what their story is.
Monport is on our list. We have already reached out to their customer support line hoping to get a response soon.
So hard to choose which did you pick
Still deciding…. Do you have one?
Xtool support is so hard to understand
They are unapologetically Chinese. Not a bad thing unless you’re trying to communicate your problem.
Xtool is the worse!
I see Fresh has his TV reporter thing going on again 😂
I remember him on the radio in Philly!!

What an well explained video

We actually said that to all the vendors. But Aeon is a serious contender!

I got Epilog taste with an Omtech budget! What's the best compromise
LMAO Aeon or Thunder are EXCELLENT alternatives at a much more affordable price.

WeCreat Vision and Xtool M1
Great information! This will certainly help with my decision. What was your final decision?

What trade show was this?
ISA in Orlando - International Sign Expo
Grant is adorable 😍
Uh oh - Grant has a FAN CLUB!!!
We have an Omtech purchased in December 2023. Proceed with caution!
We went to Aeon's showroom in our hometown and saw all the top CO2 machines in one building. It was cool and enlighting. Aeon for us all the way!
What did you end up with?
Aeon Redline Mira 9 on order. 😊
@@craftwithfelicia I’m debating between the Mira 7 and Thunder Bolt… both companies have great US based customer service and seem like solid products.
