    I didn't show the Pavilion's BIOS settings, but here's its only setting related to SATA: i.imgur.com/4npuQci.jpg
    It's for setting the speed or disabling the controller. There's no AHCI/compatibility setting like the ThinkPad (which only has SATA 1, but an SSD still makes it run very fast).

    Something that I found funny about the Italian Windows XP is that instead of saying "Welcome" on the logon screen it says "Windows XP" instead.

      I grew up with Windows XP in Italian, so I'm used to it. The first time I tried an English version of Windows, I was baffled at the fact it's supposed to welcome you in the logon screen.

      TheComputerGuy96 I saw another video of someone booting up Italian windows XP, and I thought that it was customized lol

    Very historical video! I have seen that you have used the recovery disks on your old HP PC (Palivion a6452.it) and your ThinkPad T60. Wish if I could have those recovery disks to do that for myself just to have the full and real experience for doing this myself, just like you. I will try to collect some old vintage PCs and laptops for this in the future.

    Are you factory restore to default settings by using Acer disc?

    • @TheComputerGuy96
      @TheComputerGuy96  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Using these discs on a real Acer Aspire 1690 would restore the factory software and settings. But of course they're not the default settings of the other computers.

      I don't fully understand what you're asking. I tried starting it up multiple times, and the video is edited so it sometimes jumps from one thing to another.

      The Disk mode was set from AHCI to IDE Compatibility Mode in the BIOS Settings.

    I noticed that on every Italian version of Windows that were featured on this channel, the “Welcome” text at login was all “Windows”. Well it’s “Windows XP” on Windows XP this time LOL.
    I wonder why it says that instead of “Welcome” in Italian 🤔

    • @TheComputerGuy96
      @TheComputerGuy96  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In Italian, words can vary depending on gender and singular/plural, so Microsoft didn't know what to do and just put "Windows" or "Windows XP".
      But the default form is the singular male one, so Windows 8 and 10 say "benvenuto".

    Acer ha questo strano problema che, dopo un'installazione di Windows (XP in questo caso ma anche con Windows 10 oggi), applica sempre la grandezza del testo a 125%, in tutti i computer Acer che ho provato fino ad oggi. Mai capito perchè...

    • @TheComputerGuy96
      @TheComputerGuy96  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Capirei se lo schermo fosse ad alta risoluzione, ma non lo è. Anche quando il mio Aspire funzionava, quando re-installavo da questi dischi metteva il testo a 125%, però quando era nuovo era 100%.
      Un mio amico ha un Acer di pochi anni fa (non so che modello, ma è un portatile abbastanza normale con Intel Core i3 e schermo 1366*768) e ha Windows 10 con il testo a 100% (125% sarebbe troppo grande)
