"Busiest route" is a better term than "most popular". People don't fly for fun; they just naturally need to travel between the country's two largest cities. And a good portion is probably transfer traffic, since both airports are important AC hubs.

16:10 - speaking of the Montreal to Toronto route, it is not just for transferring passengers, there are a significant amount of passengers that travel only between these two cities, and that is because the ground transportation infrastructure is so poorly developed - there is no high speed rail, conventional rail service like VIA Rail is slow and often gets delayed by freight trains, and the limited amount of intercity buses are often stuck in traffic as Highway 401 is the busiest highway in Canada with lots of truck traffic. Also, when booking in advance, these flights are actually reasonably priced, usually just over $110 for most cases. When I was studying in Montreal, my home was in Toronto and these flights, especially December, January, reading break in October/March, and beginning/end of semester in April and September, are often filled up with university students traveling between these two cities. I still remember depending on these flights a lot before I graduated and moved to Vancouver. It's a very similar situation to how the Sydney to Melbourne air route in Australia is so busy. Until true European high speed rail is built between Montreal and Toronto (which I don't think will happen any time soon), these flights will continue to be among the busiest in the country and likely the world as well.
But at least your experience was nice! My first trip report was on this same route with the same aircraft type, although my most memorable one was on the A220 business class from Toronto to Montreal in 2021, we had lounge access and a very nice meal as well!

Great trip report! Love that you can fly wide body on a short flight. Good way to get better value out of a business class ticket!

Well that depends on what you are comparing it to… compared to Spirit? Yea, they are really good. Compared to Japan Airlines? No, they are really bad.

Nice video. but why uploading a June 2023 video in August 2024 so more than a year later? 😉

I guess air Canada was repositioning this airplane. Might as well make money out of it.

Not being critical, but just asking. Why does the left wing look so dirty, or stained? Doesn't look like de-icing fluid as this looks like a summer flight. Ant comments?

They shouldn’t fly those three row planes on this such short flight! Use those on transcontinental or transatlantic flights!
