He was such a rare pop musician-he kept his props to a very minimum. He HELD the space, from his days with Wham! and throughout his solo career-no props. No theatrics. Just this man, his band, backup singers, and his voice. I turned 50 this year and listening to GM still makes me feel good things…and gratitude to this man for sharing himself and his gifts with the world. He was a bright spot in my childhood and adolescence. ♥️

I remember being so proud of him for winning & at how he handled the criticism..i.e.:naming his follow up album "Listen Without Prejudice".--Simply put, GM is ALL ABOUT R&B!! I just can’t get enough of this song! Who wears a 3 piece suit to a concert performance and rocks it like nobody else?! This was during the time he sued Sony. He refused to release new music that would benefit the homophobic Tommy Mottola. So he only sang his previously released songs at benefits/charitable functions. This one was for his friend Princess Diana’s AIDS Benefit. He has the most beautiful voice that is unmatched. His music has already stood the test of time and will last forever, which is all he really wanted. I miss him s much. I still can’t use the past tense. It’s just too sad and heartbreaking. 💔😭
I just love his energy. He danced with the same enthusiasm in his last concerts than he did in the 80’s. That told me so much about him. He loved his music as much I did! And watching him dance was infectious!!!! Love him and will miss him.
