For me George is up there with the greats ..Presley..Lennon ... Sinatra he never worked or was coached to sing . The Lord like the others bestowed this wonderful gift to him and he shared it with all of us . Fantastic person missed greatly

Yeah, I was in 11th grade and this song was one of the biggest songs of the 80's honestly. It's weird you don't hear it much these days.

Obscure fact: at the beginning of this George Michael was wearing a brooch he had borrowed from his sister. It fell off halfway through, and was picked up by a girl in the audience. George and Andrew left the stage before she was able to give it back. Later she spoke to George during a phone-in on a tv programme and told him she had the brooch. He told her she could keep it and he’d buy his sister another one! I wonder if the lucky woman still has it.

Elaine Brickwood I hope so too. George’s sister died on Christmas Day 2019. They were close and it seems she couldn’t cope without him. It’s very sad.

George’s songs were pure joy and fun during his Wham! days. Once he went solo and the more he experienced life his music became much more personal but still magical. He was certainly talented.

Deborah D- at that time 1985 I was living in London, England then moved back to the U.S. my parents insisted! I lost touch of alot of things going on there! I never seemed to have the means to stay in touch with everything! No tv. Or I worked All the time, so no tv while working 8 hours a day! But now in Covid days of shutdowns and Quareentine, I have nothing but time on my hands- and the internet!! P.S. just like Pierce Morgan to ask Andy about GEORGE! NOT ANDY! SMUCK PM!!

Grow up without hearing anything new but you better believe he knows at 5 years old WHAM and George Michael! Hearing him sing to all the great songs makes my heart melt. I just hate thinking that he was taken from us too soon! I remember that day where I was how I reacted and still makes me so sad knowing he is no longer here. I pray he was not selfishly “taken” from us by “someone” who I won’t name and it was the Lord calling his angel home and needed to fill a place in his heavenly choir. Everything surrounding his death the day before the day of and the days and months after and still years later regarding someone just haunts me to my core. He was so loved but to have died alone makes me sick! Anyways I am sorry I just said all this but as much as I adore his music and listen to it daily I wish I could be happy but I just can’t. It makes me so incredibly sad!

The first time I saw George I thought he was one of the cutest guys I'd ever seen, however, I had a strong feeling he was gay. This gave me a twinge of disappointment because he wasn't about us girls. It's so good seeing him living in such joy. What a remarkable talent he was. We lost him way too soon.

A good friend of mine who a fellow life long fan shouted out during a pause when he was talking to the audience 'Your bloody gorgeous!'....he absolutely was the most beautiful, talented human being and a complete one off...... This is absolutely my favorite Wham! song ever - I could listen to it over & over. But to call this "live" is quite a stretch... 😆 I'd like to see an actual live performance of this, if one exists.
I think the phrase 'live' refers to it was live on TOTP... At the time most bands did lip sync it was just the way it was produced

I loved George Michael, and can watch him and listen to him forever. Watching this Video, and if you watch it, the broach goes missing off his right side of shirt. I watched an interview on Saturday morning TV, on TH-cam some time ago, phone in thing with kids, and this kid phoned in to tell George that she actually had that broach!! She picked it up when it fell off his shirt. If I remember rightly, it was some relatives broach and I think they sorted out getting it back. I bet that girl got rewarded, and not just that, she probably met the great man.
