This is Woolie VS The Algorithm, a new TH-cam Channel where you'll find all of the best and funniest moments from WoolieVersus. The highlight videos released here will have tight editing and enhancements of the hypest moments to create an even more fun experience, as well as gateway into checking out the full length WoolieVersus content.
Together with his friend Reggie, they have played numerious games on the channel ranging from genres like RPG, JRPG, Fighting Games, and FPS. Games like Elden Ring (open world Dark Souls game), Mass Effect (Legendary Edition), Final Fantasy 6 (Pixel Remaster) and Disco Elysium (Disco Elysium Final Cut). Woolie hosts Get Into Fighting Games, which is a series that introduces new and old fighting games like Guilty Gear Strive (GG Strive) and Skullgirls. Clips from the podcast Castle Super Beast which he records with PatStaresAt are also hosted on the WoolieVersus channel. Woolie has collaborated with other content creators like Super Eyepatch Wolf and LittleVmills. Some of his most popular videos are his lore videos on Gulity Gear (GUILTY GEAR LORE: Heaven or Hell) and Kirby (Kirby Lore: Star Allies, Dark Matter Trilogy and Morpho).

Hollywood fight scenes have never made me feel a quarter as alive as watching the Freelancer Highway or the Paladin Fight from RWBY. Monty’s animations weren’t perfect, but his rhythm and choreography were godlike and Jeff’s music in the background was like feeling every punch in your soul.
The ice fight at the end of season 8 is still my favorite fight scene in anything. It is *the best.*

Regarding Steve-O and Mike Tyson (end of the video here), IIRC, it was a Comedy Central Roast they were on together, and Steve-O asked Mike to punch him. Tyson refused, but compromised by sticking his fist straight out for Steve-O to sprint into face-first. Naturally, that fucked his face up and he had to see the medics on-site who I'm positive were not prepared for that level of violence on a comedy roast, but it is funny to say that Iron Mike knocked his lights out just by standing there.

Yeah, it's completely inappropriate for the show but I ended up getting ultra hyped to sing along to this song about being a style consultant for someone who lacks confidence.
Edit: looked up the lyrics and I think that I was a bit confused by the accent and latched onto the bits I heard clearly and assumed the entire song was about going shopping and creating a safe space for them to express themselves and get a sense of their own style 😅

Eyepatch Wolf being a super mark for the WM17 hype video is so on brand and yet I can't blame him that one bit because that promo rules.
I literally paused this video to go and watch the X7 promo again as they were talking about it.
That brief moment when Fred Durst could have reached out and plucked the moon from the night's sky, such was his influence.
Another thing to note about the RVB clip is at the time that was the second time there was an episode with Monty’s animation work, and the first time it was a full episode pretty much. When it was new it was insane, and the next two seasons would go on to feature nearly half the season’s worth of runtime being in that style with full animation. To say it added to the series was an understatement.
I still think that the freelancer saga is some of the best sci-fi I've seen, and I've consumed a LOT of sci-fi.
The highway fight was probably the best RvB Monty fight scene
I remember that was my first real exposure to RvB, when I was like 13 give or take. I think some friends mentioned liking it before, but that fight scene was the first thing I really watched and found of my own accord. I thought it was awesome and, at the time, I didn't even realize it was the same person who made Haloid.
But, I felt left out because I didn't really know any of the characters/situations related to the fight scene. So, when I started from episode 1 I was like "What is this? I can barely hear the audio. I've seen funnier Machinimas." and never tried watching again...
I remember someone in school showed me that fight scene and that's how I got into Red vs. Blue. Might be one of the defining works of the internet.

I always hate when people call the FFX laugh as cringe because its not, what cringe is that for decades people legit believed the fake laughs were "real" voice acting and the scene always ended up on somebodys "top bad voice acting" videos.

The Armored Core rounds are definitely eyebleeding to watch. For anyone wondering what the hell was up with the camera and why it was wild like that: the hard lock-on in AC6 reduces accuracy as compensation for how less engaging it is for your brain. You need to think less, ergo you're less stressed, ergo it's otherwise better. But, if you're going for high level play, every shot matters. Every plink, every source of damage and stun meter you can grab. So, people turn to the soft lock that tells their robot what to shoot at but doesn't keep the enemy centered and then flick the analog stick like spazzes to maintain line of sight

I feel like they're overcomplicating the ideas around merch for a fighting game cartoon.
You should just have the players and their mains have a direct means to communicate and have the series focus on their relationships, so you can have the players and fighters be sold in double packs, with each player either having a unique fighter, or a redesign of one of the fighters that reflects their personality and play style.
Have the main protagonists be brothers who use Ryu/Ken style characters, then they get challenged by people at the arcade who have their own mains.
Maybe have an arc where one character tries out a new main and turns to the dark side (so maybe it's like a patch came out that lets you play the boss, so one brother goes mad with power and it's up to the other to work hard to find effective counter strategies. The arc ends with the first brother being rejected by the character they both play and having to try a new character who was also in the update, but they're basically the Dan of the game because none of the other characters want to be associated with him. He spends a long time getting beaten easily, only to discover that there's an unconventional way of playing the game that allows him to even out the playing field)
It's basically how you'd put together any other kids anime about a collectable toy/game, except with fighting games instead of spinning tops/monsters/cards/etc.
Outside of the toys you can then have a game built around the idea of having the characters be customisable and breaking the fourth wall to address the players, so that it replicates the dynamic seen in the show.
I like the new system. Finally, Slop As A Service.

For the fighting game cartoon merch, I'm picturing a game where the characters are tied to the physical sticks- you *have* to have the merch if you want that character.
I envision a "starter set" that has like a plug-and-play hub that goes straight to the tv, and two sticks that plug into the hub (are standalone plug-and-play games even a thing anymore? idk but they are in my vision). You could even have alternate costumes tied to the merch as well. Sure, you got the base version of that character, but we're on season 3 of the cartoon now, and he just did a heel-turn and got an awesome new look, so you've got to buy another one.
That's DIABOLICAL, and if fightsticks weren't so expensive I guarantee you some exec would be pitching them. Maybe you have the character tied to an amiibo-type thing that you connect to the stick instead? So you get the character/costume you want by getting the figurine for them?
