Tommy Thayer plays Aces solos better than Ace does. Ace admits he stole solos from other peoples songs. Like the solo on Larger than Life and Shock Me. The solo he plays on Shock Me is a copy of the solo on RUSH Working Man played in a different chord. When he plays it live, he switches between the KISS chord structure and the RUSH chord structure.
He was the headliner (remember this was almost 10 years ago) and this was his last song. They had time to pull this together. Once they were all on stage, to me, it seemed like the surprise "hit him". Just my opinion, who knows.
The song is called Kiss A Girl. So they dressed up as KISS the band, Taylor's back up singers dressed up as Hershey Kisses and gave out Hershey Kisses.
The “Gene” was perfect! They even got the Deuce sway down!
