Audra Muth - Yeah. They are family minus that Brian and Kevin are literally family, being that they are cousins. You should search and watch Nick's wedding video where all the boys give him a toast and blessing to him and his bride. Very moving speech. Love that they all had attended each other wedding and vacation together with their family outside the band. ❤
Most bands breaks up after a few years and usually go solo or find other things to do, but these guys stayed together and are still together to this day. They are just not a band, they are best friends, family❤️
Watching this in 2022. I grew up listening to their music since the 90's. So many boybands I know are not together anymore except this band right here! Despite they have their own family now but this is the only boyband I know that is still going strong until this day, they are still active with their music, touring around and performing for their fans. Not only that their friendship is so strong but they also look up each other as brothers. I am so proud of these guys achievements. They have come so far and yet their band is unbreakable! BSB Forever :)
I took my daughter to see them when she was 16. Their concert was electrifying. I believe Mandy Moore sang before they did. She is 39 now and I'm 66. I still love all their songs because I'm just cool that way. 🤪
This really is interesting as hell! I had no idea they went that far back and it's amazing to see them do music like this that's so late 80s and much more in the style of NKOTB than the distinctly 90s sound that they'd be known for.

It's crazy how Brian has not even a little solo here, but then, he was one of the more representative and the distinctive voice timbre in the band. Oh and crazy too how Kevin and Howie, who sings the less in Backsteet's history, here are basically the main vocals, specially Howie. About Nicj and AJ, they always were front voices, as the way Brian is now, and for me THE voice of the band, him and the great AJ
Yeah when I think of BSB, I think of Brian, AJ and Nicks voice. My favorite was Brian’s voice which I thought was always very sultry sounding. Brian was also the cutest. Howie never stood out to me, even in his solos.
I was going to say the same thing lol! Howie who seems to sing less at the height of their hits, sang the most lead/solo parts on here. And Brian who sang most leads during the height of their career, didn't even have a solo line here.
Backstreet Boys didn't get a proper setup until Max Martin got involved. He made Brian the lead singer, with Nick & AJ coming in afterwards and then Kevin & Howie more as background. He looked at their voices and Brian was THE voice in his opinion. The one with x factor. Listening to everything they made with Max Martin, Brian was almost always the backbone of the sound. Amazing talent
Howie being the main lead earlier on is prolly why he wouldn't do the backstreet return album and tour without having more vocals in any new songs. Crazy and I can understand his view point from being the man to the 4th voice is prolly a big kick to the ego. Would they been just as big if he stayed the lead or had a bigger role we will never know.... What we do know is the other way worked and made them one of the biggest boy bands to ever exist..pretty he was still getting tail even as the 4th guy and same amount of money but still man must of had some shit solo nights doubting himself. Othrt thing is his voice seems to went stagnate after the demotion too. Wither it's confidence or development he never sounded like a lead ever again even when he had his solo parts later on. Must if never developed both in confidence and vocal after the reshuffling. Again hard for anyone in his position to complain or do anything about it once they blew up but man can yiu imagine how that first couple years was like for him and the tall guy to a certain extent. Still like the 13th man NBA, 23rd man NHL, practice squad nfl ya still got it better then 90% of the population. I'm thinking most would of done the same he done, swallow ur pride to stay on the team and kept mouth shut as much as u can but again it's quite the kick in the pride sac. Payed off financially for him but im guessing he probably doesn't feel full satisfaction artistically wise for himself. Almost at the end of the NKOTB, and Backstreet Boys were emerging gradually over the 90s to be one of the most succesful pop groups of music history. Respect for these guys...
this video is everything I ever needed!!!! I never heard Kevin's voice so crisp and clear, they're dancing is amazing, and they look soooo happy and in the zone! You can tell they brought out each other's confidence
Ganda Gandara their latest album DNA debuted #1 on billboard 200 and the are still selling out shows ( I went to a sold out show last week in atl) plus the took a hiatus in 2001 and didn’t comeback until 05 with the release of Never Gone which went platinum. Then Kevin left, music changes and the big wigs only like “young new faces” so even though BSB were still releasing albums and have a steady reliable core fan base. The music industry doesn’t care and pushes who they want to the forefront ( a major reason why we hear mediocre ppl on the radio and the same 5 songs on repeat, while they’re amazing artist in the background not getting recognized) any BSB has been going strong for 26 yrs and never really fell off.
10 years nowadays is pushing it 😂 new groups last only till they waste all their money and they split leave no impact like BSB did😎it is more like 3 years give or take .
The only boy band I truly respect, because the guys have always been loyal to each other and their bond between themselves being stronger than ever now.
Howie and AJ were the first two members. Kevin is the one who brought Brian into the group. Kevin was working as Aladdin at the Disney resort in Orlando when he was recruited for BSB. He told the producers that his cousin Brian was a great singer and they had him flown in from Kentucky.
OMG literal babies at the time. I was at their concert in Cologne on Monday and they killed it. After 29 years, their energy, voices and dance moves are still unmatched. The concert was sold out within minutes back in April and they even announced a second date for Cologne. No one can pull that off after almost 30 years. The vibe at their concert was also unmatched. I have never experienced anything like that at any other concert. They are not only singers who sing their songs and move on, they are true performers and put up one hell of a show. They make sure that you have a great time. I really hope to see them again in Cologne.
We need a reaction video featuring the Backstreet Boys themselves. I'm sure they'd have a ball watching their old performance and making fun of their fashions and hairstyles of the time.

I'm feeling you. I just saw My Chemical Romance in concert in August 2022 after they had REUNITED in October of 2019. Something I never believed would or even could happen. This moment was literally 2nd on my bucket list and to think It was actually possible. I was over the moon.
Howie’s always been a handsome boy I see. Howie and Kev combo here, didn’t see much of “B rock” (Brian) that much. These mini BSB really made may day! 😍
When Brian didn't even get a close-up let alone a solo part. Things changed quickly after this. One thing that hasn't changed is their dedication and drive.?They've just gotten better over the years.

The boys had to be a team players since they were new to the industry. Howie had more solo parts on the songs he co-wrote - for example "What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful)" and "How Did I Fall in Love with You". He expressed his struggle a bit in their 2015 BSB documentary from being the lead vocal then push to back vocal once they got their record deal.
Backstreet boys fan since I was 8 years old. I am 34 now. When u saw them in concert three years ago, my childhood dream came true. I can't explain how it feels to see them in concert. I would never forget that day.❤️🙏 Love them for ever

BSB have been through one heck of a journey. Wish more people would appreciate their growth in music instead of invalidating them based on one video.. they themselves admitted it's bad.. but they've grown since and I congratulate them for that. Also music from their Never Gone era (2005) onwards really showcases their musical diversity and I think those should get more of the spotlight, including their unreleased gems.

NKOTB reunited in 2008 and is still together. But yes, most of the big 90s boy bands are long gone.

En NKOTB aunque divertido pienso que Donnie tuvo que ver mucho con la separación del grupo. Era muy loco.
Hay dos primos hermanos Kevin y Brian ; Howie y aj amigos desde los 14 y pues a Nick lo criaron prácticamente por eso la buena onda entre ellos

Yeah when I think of BSB, I think of Brian, AJ and Nicks voice. My favorite was Brian’s voice which I thought was always very sultry sounding. Brian was also the cutest. Howie never stood out to me, even in his solos.
I was going to say the same thing lol! Howie who seems to sing less at the height of their hits, sang the most lead/solo parts on here. And Brian who sang most leads during the height of their career, didn't even have a solo line here.
Howie is second oldest so they probably had him lead sing since he already was through puberty unlike the rest (excluding Kevin).
Backstreet Boys didn't get a proper setup until Max Martin got involved. He made Brian the lead singer, with Nick & AJ coming in afterwards and then Kevin & Howie more as background. He looked at their voices and Brian was THE voice in his opinion. The one with x factor. Listening to everything they made with Max Martin, Brian was almost always the backbone of the sound. Amazing talent
Howie being the main lead earlier on is prolly why he wouldn't do the backstreet return album and tour without having more vocals in any new songs.
Crazy and I can understand his view point from being the man to the 4th voice is prolly a big kick to the ego.
Would they been just as big if he stayed the lead or had a bigger role we will never know.... What we do know is the other way worked and made them one of the biggest boy bands to ever exist..pretty he was still getting tail even as the 4th guy and same amount of money but still man must of had some shit solo nights doubting himself.
Othrt thing is his voice seems to went stagnate after the demotion too. Wither it's confidence or development he never sounded like a lead ever again even when he had his solo parts later on. Must if never developed both in confidence and vocal after the reshuffling.
Again hard for anyone in his position to complain or do anything about it once they blew up but man can yiu imagine how that first couple years was like for him and the tall guy to a certain extent. Still like the 13th man NBA, 23rd man NHL, practice squad nfl ya still got it better then 90% of the population.
I'm thinking most would of done the same he done, swallow ur pride to stay on the team and kept mouth shut as much as u can but again it's quite the kick in the pride sac. Payed off financially for him but im guessing he probably doesn't feel full satisfaction artistically wise for himself.

Ganda Gandara their latest album DNA debuted #1 on billboard 200 and the are still selling out shows ( I went to a sold out show last week in atl) plus the took a hiatus in 2001 and didn’t comeback until 05 with the release of Never Gone which went platinum. Then Kevin left, music changes and the big wigs only like “young new faces” so even though BSB were still releasing albums and have a steady reliable core fan base. The music industry doesn’t care and pushes who they want to the forefront ( a major reason why we hear mediocre ppl on the radio and the same 5 songs on repeat, while they’re amazing artist in the background not getting recognized) any BSB has been going strong for 26 yrs and never really fell off.

OMG literal babies at the time. I was at their concert in Cologne on Monday and they killed it. After 29 years, their energy, voices and dance moves are still unmatched. The concert was sold out within minutes back in April and they even announced a second date for Cologne. No one can pull that off after almost 30 years. The vibe at their concert was also unmatched. I have never experienced anything like that at any other concert. They are not only singers who sing their songs and move on, they are true performers and put up one hell of a show. They make sure that you have a great time. I really hope to see them again in Cologne.

@@methebee - Their old label JIVE and songwriters/producer had the say on who was the main vocal and who was the backup vocals for their songs. The boys had to be a team players since they were new to the industry. Howie had more solo parts on the songs he co-wrote - for example "What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful)" and "How Did I Fall in Love with You". He expressed his struggle a bit in their 2015 BSB documentary from being the lead vocal then push to back vocal once they got their record deal.
This guys are more than a boy band, they are a family! Even some marriages don’t last decades and they did and still are. #Backstreet boys forever!

BSB have been through one heck of a journey. Wish more people would appreciate their growth in music instead of invalidating them based on one video.. they themselves admitted it's bad.. but they've grown since and I congratulate them for that. Also music from their Never Gone era (2005) onwards really showcases their musical diversity and I think those should get more of the spotlight, including their unreleased gems.
