What is the oldest version of Final Cut Pro this can work on, if I may ask? I run version 10.5.4. as I have an older 2012 model Mac mini that runs Catalina. It's quite beefed up and works well still. Thank you for your time! :)
In Final Cut I only have the color option in "outline" when I choose "colored matte" as the output. In your video it shows it for "matte over background" as well. Is that a bug!? Cool that the update came for free. Thx
Matte over Background does the same thing Keyper 1.0 did, which is show a teal overlay of the matte over the background and is useful for visualizing the matte. Colored Matte comes with an alpha channel and should be placed on a layer above the original clip. This is to allow for coloring effects and to allow for multiple lines using multiple layers.
Maybe it works better in after effects. It isn't even close to the results as advertised. I wish there were more examples of how to use it. Everything is unpredictably patchy. It's good sometimes; you'll have to find out when it is. Hopefully the purchases will generate improvements.
While most of this is shown in Motion, the outlines are being demoed in Final Cut Pro, but Keyper works in Premiere and After Effects as well. As to updating, as the FxFactory folks have said, “Check for updates, and usually a restart & relaunch will help.“

If you bought the first keeper, did you have to buy the updated version after the fact keeper 2.0?

Keyper requires macOS12 or later. Whenever in doubt about compatibility, the free trial can always be used for testing what works.

Thanks for the feedback. Keyper relies on Apple's Vision technology. As Apple makes improvements, we should expect benefits.
When I switch on "outline" the image becomes completely black and that's it. I'm on FCPX. Is that a bug?
