    2:02 if you fly 1-2 times per year then there are airline cards that have either no annual fee but no perks or a low $95 annual fee with perks that exceed the annual fee
    In this case if you travel 1-2 times per year then the Explorer card is a solid choice.

    Stan, I agree with your statement about Titanium Elite. I’ve had it since the beginning of the year, and have seen nothing different than what I would have been given/upgraded to when I was Platinum. But I do enjoy the United Premier access with it.
    I recently got the United Club Infinite card with the 90k elevated sign up bonus. I bought two round trip United Polaris Business Class tickets from LAX to Bangkok via Hong Kong and hit the SUB instantly. Now I have around 140k United Airlines miles waiting to post, and not counting the 32k miles I’ll get after completing the actual flight.
    Thanks for all your hard work! Videos are great!

      You're welcome Delhi Belly! Congrats on the new United Club card, that's awesome! And it sounds like you'll be building a nice stash of United Miles with it. Hope you enjoyed the Polaris experience! That's one of my goals - to experience a long haul Polaris flight (and also a Polaris lounge too)! I don't know though, when it comes to international flights, I try to fly international airlines just for the novelty.

      @@TheCreditFrog I certainly agree. I wanted to initially fly EVA, LAX to Taipei to Bangkok. But when the United infinite card had the elevated bonus with decent multiplayer for United purchases, it just made sense to fly United. It’ll be my first on United Polaris, I’ll definitely check back and give you my half cent!

    • @TheCreditFrog

      @@TheCreditFrog thank you! Good to know! I was debating who to go the brilliant platinum (potential titanium) route with - me or my husband. But how do you justify keeping the Chase Aeroplan card after the first year? I don’t think you can justify it.

    • @TheCreditFrog
      @TheCreditFrog  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I guess it depends if you're ok with getting Aeroplan points, specifically on that grocery multiplier. It's kind of a niche case and probably isn't the best way to capture that category for most people as you suggested.

    The Bonvoy Business was my introduction to Marriot. First Impressions im not impressed with the certificates. To get maximum availability for my use date's, I can't use the card because I will meet the spending Sub and they immediately will issue the certificates. Why thats a issue is because Marriot has Dynamic Pricing.. the value of 50K is trashed.
    I was already planning on topping off.
    My First impression is dont have expectations for the 50k certificates at a destination location. Basically what would be 35K becomes 50K or more during peek use months . If you want a nicer place in the 50 to 60 range they become 70+
    This is my 5 months opinion.

    • @TheCreditFrog
      @TheCreditFrog  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, the Marriott FNCs aren't nearly as good as the ones from other issuers (maybe better than Hyatts). For me, I've been able to find availability within the 50k range for mid-range properties so it works for me. But yeah, dynamic pricing makes it much harder to redeem these certificates on peak travel days. Thanks for leaving your DP and opinion Bill!
      I think the Bonvoy Business is best used with the Bonvoy Brilliant as part of a strategy. Sometimes that 7% room rate discount helps since it basically matches the prepaid price of rooms, but you have the flexibility to cancel 2-7 days before your reservation, depending on the property.

    What are your thoughts on Hyatt? Hilton is kind of crap, outside of their luxury brands. I stayed at an all inclusive in Mexico that part of the Hyatt umbrella, and I was blown away. Like I want all of my business travel to be rewarded with that experience.

    • @TheCreditFrog
      @TheCreditFrog  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't stay at many Hyatts, but it's the most valuable hotel chain for redemptions, especially with Chase UR points! The only issue is footprint, but if you can find a Hyatt where you want to stay than it can be a great program to be a part of!

    .ARRIOTT BOUNTIFUL STUPID...
    Not for me. It's 4X multipliers make my other Marriott cards gather dust, as I accumulate points and free nights.
    What works for some may not fit for others.

    • @TheCreditFrog
      @TheCreditFrog  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I guess it depends on what you're looking for. For a $250 annual fee, that's a high price to pay for 4X categories as well as a $15k free night (and that night is capped at 50k?!). There are a lot of other cards out there that can do the same with much better value. For example, the Gold card gets you 4X on the same categories but you could transfer it to Marriott if you wanted or another transfer partner.

    • @kinart2543
      @kinart2543 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheCreditFrog your points are valid, but I'm trending towards personal simplification. I'm pretty certain Bountiful will only improve...if not, I may go back to a 35K annual free night, which I find little value in. 4X is 4X and the fact that it covers groceries is MY sweet spot.
      Meanwhile, I'll ve discarding my convoluted $695 Plat and it's "stupid" traits system. Saks..😀
      An ever increasing fee card whose multipliers are ridiculously dysfuntunctional...unless you travel for work.

    • @TheCreditFrog

      @@kinart2543 Hey, I can get behind simplification for sure! As long as you find value in the card you have - no problem. I think it's great you've found a way to do without the Amex Platinum.
