There in the work, an artist was born, Who sketches and dashes and torn. And delve the scene where picture was made, No gadgets or tech could ever be trade. For this was a skill, not born, not trait, Years and years of work to relate. The mind that conspire, passion and fire, Who work till dawn and night's desire.
The feeling that you get from this is indescribable on so many levels. It shows how one person can change from one simple act of kindness, especially when they see what it does to the other person. That seems to be one of many things missing in this world now a days.
I keep seeing everyone saying their here because of jack and while I am here to it’s a bit rude to fill a video of an artist who worked hard for it with “who’s else here because of jack” comments. maybe instead just give some constructive criticism or encouraging words, I myself haven’t finished watching the entire video so I can say Much but I will say I really liked the art piece and the start of the story sounds nice and goes well with the nice soothing voice, please do respect the artist because I don’t think it’s very encouraging having a video you worked very hard for be full of comments that don’t even address it. edit: i just finished watching and i have to say it is AMAZING, the voice actor really gets you into the story with his tones and its really nice to watch it while seeing the making processes of the art piece which is beautiful, and the writing and story is amazing i loved the story and its wording and the way it came across, all and all very beautiful video i really enjoyed it so thank you for it!.
You're very kind to say that but honestly, no offense is taken by me (or Troy) about that. Jack's signal boost of our video helped propel it to a wider audience and we're immensely grateful for that!
Austin Wintory I realize that and I know it helped a lot and I’m not putting any blame on jack or anyone at that matter I’m just saying maybe it’s just me but for me it seems a bit disrespectful. I know that I as an artist will be a bit discouraged if a posted my work and it would be filled with comments talking about unrelated things and I’ll feel like no one is really actually paying attention to my work. Maybe it’s just me tho and I’m happy that it didn’t hurt you in any way or discouraged you
Austin Wintory and Troy Baker needed to happen and this was as amazeballs as expected. This artist in the video, though. That's absolutely beautiful. Incredible talent from three directions.
Troy Baker does a fantastic job the music is great. Austin you always do a fantastic job you’re pretty incredible I have to say. And I’ll be glad when all four of you are back together again please be safe.
Clicked on this very much just expecting to listen to more of your music, this was such a treat!! The music paces so well with the story (which is read very well!!) AND this art is so so pretty! The three of you have made such a nice little experience:^)
Holy shit this is beautiful. And the story is actually great, the voice is amazing. But the person who draws holy shit what a talent. Great video. Keep up.
Wow. Just so beautiful. I believe this was recommended due to Play, Watch, Listen. Austin, I am happy to subscribe -not that I believe you need it, but because I do. This is needed in the world now more than ever. Thank you
I wish the background music was less loud... it's hard for me to concentrate on what he says. Turning down the volume to a minimum and enabling the auto-generated subtitles helped.
It's... absolutely beautiful. All of it. Every piece of art that created it. Thanks Austin, Troy, Simon and Angela. I'm mad at myself that I didn't discover it sooner (maybe I could have the opportunity to share it with my dad then - a thought I've had a thousand times about many art pieces like this after he passed away), but still glad that I discovered it now. I have a question. If it's not too much of a hassle - is there a possibility to include english subtitles to this video? I would love to show it to my mum, but - unfortunately - she doesn't speak english. Google translator from english to polish works quite well, though, so I suspect it would be okay that way. I tried using auto-generated english subtitles that then auto-translates to polish, but, well, it's mostly gibberish that way. If it's not possible, please, don't worry. Maybe if I find the time I will translate it on my own. And thanks again. This whole piece really moved me.
I'm afraid there's no easy way to add subtitles at this point. I love your intent but I'm afraid I'd have to ask someone for help. So sorry to hear about your father; I've lost mine in recent years too
@@awintory No worries. I will do something about it myself then. Thanks anyway :) And as for your father, please, also accept my condolences. I knew about it because, I believe, you shared some stories about him in PWL couple of months ago. Immediately, after I heard you talking about him, my own dad came to my mind, believe it or not. He also was this erudite type, having literally thousands of books in his office (I believe 3-4 thousand, last I counted). I was always able to ask him about pretty much anything and he always was able to help. It was quite a shock when suddenly I wasn't able to do that anymore. To be fair, as much as my dad comes to my mind when you were talking about your dad, he also reminds me in many aspects of... you. He studied musicology at University and had an absolute pitch. He could play anything anyone could ask him of on the spot - on piano and accordion. Not 100% match, of course, but I often have him before my eyes when I listen to the podcasts you're in! So, yeah, thanks about that :) I miss not only being able to ask my dad about stuff but, primarly, showing him things that were inspiring to me. A month before he died we watched a video of Marcin Przybyłowicz's Witcher 3 soundtrack concert in Kraków. He wasn't a gamer, but he had deep appreciation for all the arts and it was great to share it with him. Couple of months after he passed away I also played Journey for the first time. That one hit me the most at that time - he would absolutely love the concept of that game and the beautiful music you wrote. Sorry for the long and probably a little boring message. In short: thank you for everything you do, because it's really inspiring to me. I also love your "You Gotta Hear This" podcast with Troy Baker, too! Take care :)
Anyone else here from jack's liked video list?

Ah, to hear Troy's voice with Wintory's music makes my heart swell~
Troy's voice is so satisfying, I can't-
Troy Baker has the most handsome and attractive voice in the world. His voice acting work is amazing. He's by far my favorite.

Watched this video for the first time a few months ago and every now and then it just creeps back up into my brain
This is incredible. The music, the drawing, the poem, and the way it's read are all beautiful works of art.
Every year I come back to this. Every time I'm moved by it.

How did i get from ellie and joel's The Last of Us part II psx song to here?
This might sound a bit odd, but do you have an audio I can listen to/download without the narration?
ramune nope! It's really meant to be one piece, but also we recorded it all together and separating it would be impossible anyway
I’m here because of Abzu....
Literally everyone:
I’M HERE BECAUSE OF JACKSEPTICEYE!!!!
I found this on Jacksepticeyes liked videos and expected it to be comedic but it was actually really good
Troy is also 👌👌👌👌
