What a shame the censors changed this scene. In the book it is so beautiful when Lan Zhan finally gets to hear how Wie really feels about him. All those years of loneliness and sadness,longing for his love are washed away with just a few words from Wie.

I knew Yao was evil when he first showed up smiling. I was like "yup, he's definitely evil 🧐🙃." How did i know. . . it's in his smile. If you go back to the first episode he showed up and cover his smile you'll see that it doesn't reach his eyes.
Same. Through the series I was allways like "How is he supposed to be a good guy" when they tried to convince us... he just had that suspicious aura from the very first moment
He played the same sort of sneaky character in miss the dragon as well.
Their eyes always look at each other and their eyes so much hide meaning for them. I love the way Lanzhan protect Weiying and He don't want to losing Weiying once again so that why Lanzhan don't want to leave Weiying. He scare Weiying will be kill by leader Jin. I have to say Lanzhan is my style 🤣🤣🤣
Yao's actor does a great job at making him as unsettling as humanly possible
The Untamed, it's cast, their work, their character are one of a kind & surely for the history.
It's true when you see the iconic pairing in another drama, it's never the same. Because people's expectations are based on the character, chemistry the way they had been portrayed. But I really hope if it's possible XZ & WY will work again together. Too good to be missed.

This is so beautiful and GOD! I will never get tired of this part of the show, EVER.
Look at the love in their eyes. The fear that Wei Ying has for Lan Zhan, the same way Lan Zhan has that same fear for Wei Ying as he sees the blood drip down his beloved’s neck.

Ok so spoilers for the book!!!
This is where Wei Ying is supposed to confess to Lan Zhan that he wanted to sleep with him, and eventually, when they get inside the temple, he confesses that he loves Lan Zhan.
To summarize, Lan Zhan gets drunk in the inn they are supposed to stay in. Lan Zhan and Wei Ying make out, but then Lan Zhan snaps out of it and Wei Ying does too and they feel awkward so Wei Ying gets another room. But Wei Ying can’t sleep so he goes outside and walks around with Wen Ning. Wei Ying feels like investigating the temple and realizes that something’s not right when he gets there.
Things in the book happen the same way as here, EXCEPT! Wei Ying is alone in this fight, and he tells Wen Ning to run and find Lan Zhan.
And then Jing Guangyao asks why is Lan Zhan not there and Xichen also wonders why. And JGY laughs at Wei Ying for being oblivious to Lan Zhan’s feelings. He uses this to manipulate Lan Xichen into telling Wei Ying that Lan Zhan actually loved him all this time.
Now Wei Ying starts to feel guilty and stupid for using Lan Zhan’s affections for him. And he feels bad that he misinterpreted all Lan Zhan’s gestures as friends only, not realizing that Lan Zhan has been courting him all this time. Jin Guangyao uses this confusion to his advantage because Wei Ying becomes distracted, weaker, and vulnerable by the time Lan Zhan arrives.
The same scene of holding the string to Wei Ying’s neck plays out, and Jin Guangyao thinks Wei Ying will feel too embarrassed with Lan Zhan to do anything.
But he didn’t expect Wei Ying to confess to Lan Zhan. He lets the string go and Lan Zhan and Wei Ying hug, and when they get inside the temple they kiss as they declare their love to each other.
When even the villain can see the ridiculous misunderstanding pining….
And HA, Jin Guangyao! Never underestimate Wei Wuxian’s shamelessness!!!

No entiendo desde cuando amar es algo vergonzoso, se q se trata de un amor entre dos chicos y q importa éso, el corazón es el q elige a quien amamos, nadie tiene derecho de impedirlo y en ésta serie con o sin censura, la declaración de WeiYing aunque de forma indirecta, era necesaria por Lan Zhan, ademas estropearon el final, hicieron q cada uno vaya por su camino y queden como buenos amigos, perdona pero no hay quien se crea q Lan Zhan esperó y buscó 16 años a WeiYing por amistad. Aun asi la serie fue y todavia es un gran exito gracias precisamente al amor de Lan Zhan por WeiYing y la excelente, impecable interpretación de YiBo y XZ, de las miradas y los gestos protectores de YiBo q nos hizo ver el amor de Lan Zhan sin necesidad de decir nada👍👏🤗❤️❤️
