With the news/rumors of the PS3/Vita stores being closed I got on my PS3 and redownloaded a bunch of games. I was happy to download this one again. Played it for a few hours and it’s still a blast two decades later.
@@enriqueheras2888 Why emulate it if he has it on his PS3? He can have friends over and play it 2 player if he wants. Emulation is never quite as good as having the real thing. He had already paid for it, and you got up to 5 downloads before you'd have to buy it again, so it costed him nothing to redownload it.
I hope Marvel and Capcom brings this game back to PS5 and Xbox Series X Edited: so it did came to PlayStation, Switch, and Steam, but I really hope it also comes to Xbox since Xbox players deserves this.

This game was miles apart from what the Marvel vs. Capcom game should be, closer to the old CPS2 games. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 did an excellent job of doing that. Why wouldn't Infinite?
I got a PS3 from a yard sale, softmod it with a USB that's collecting dust and use NoPayStation to get MVC2. Don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on either a PS2 or Xbox disc or an Arcade1Up. That'll have to do until this is upgraded from an Arcade1Up release to a full rerelease on all modern/relevant consoles just like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have with the Cowabunga Collection. I'd argue that MVC2 HD is an iconic delisted game just as much as Scott Pilgrim and should make a comeback again like Scott Pilgrim. Capcom should make good use of using Disney and Marvel properties while it lasts.

@@tom-ot8kg nice, I got a copy of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 for PS3 recently but it's not the same, the roster for 2 is amazing and there is the nostalgia factor too. You have a controller you hook up to the tablet?

Wanted to have them all installed with all the PS3 store going offline news/rumors. Until all these games get released on PS4/PS5 I’m keeping my PS3 hooked up lol.

Why did they not assign the R2 and L2 buttons for 2 punches and 2 kicks in this version? I don’t want to press square and triangle or X and circle at the same time to do a hyper combo.
Mvc2 on PS3 was just emulation of the PS2 version? Wrong! It was released on both PS3 NS 360 and had widescreen and used the original Dreamcast code. I don't know where you got you mvc2 info from
The only reason I keep my old ps3 it’s the only game I have downloaded on it since I could never download it again I keep this ps3 guarded with my life it’s the soul purpose of this ps3 I use it for nothing else lol
you know this game is tied to your PSN account forever right? I have redownloaded this game to multiple PS3s over the years. Once you buy it its yours to redownload off PSN even if its no longer on there. I just reinstalled this game on my PS3 OG 60gb

I wish they kept the original animations for the intro but remastered. However I do think this is the best Main Menu for the game.
