    Its called pro.choice because its not about abortion its about the choice to have control over your own body. No man or woman has the right to tell me.what to do with my body. I don't know if you realize but most abortions are done because a woman has been impregnated by a raped no one deserves to be raped . Its not about killing at all. Its about having rights over our own body and the funny thing about rights is because they can't be voted on . Or shouldn't .

      Actually, less than 0.01% of abortions are because of rape or incest.

    I have some questions to all Pro-choice out there, what about the choice of those pre-born infants? What about their fundamental rights? Who will be their voice, their representatives? If not us, then who will protect them?
    Most of you argues, "It is my body I have the choice what to do with it, it is my option to stop my own pregnancy, no one has the right to tell me what to do with my body" yet if those infants can talk or at least express their side, you think they will choose to die??
    Yes it is your body, your life, but what about the body and life of those infants in the mothers' womb? what about not just the life itself but all the endless possibilities, opportunities, and experiences that life has to offer, which you will rob or steal away from them if you "choose" to abort??
    Pregnancy is not just about YOU, it's both about You and YOUR BABY!! so please even for a few minutes stop saying my body, my life, my future, my right.... Instead try saying my baby's body, my baby's life, my baby's future, my baby's right with me as his or her mother!!

    Even if abortions become illegal, they won't stop. There will just be more unsafe abortion clinics. We all need to be pro-choice supporters and respect women's decisions so we can provide them with safe, legal, and available options, should they need them.

    I've said this over and over. An embryo/fetus is not a human being. It is a potential human like an acorn is a potential tree. It does not become a separate living being until it can survive outside the womb. Women should have sovereignty over their own bodies. No government should tell her what she can or cannot do with her body. If you want to reduce abortion numbers you make sure people have a high school education, comprehensive sex education in schools, and easy access to birth control.

    I believe abortion is a woman's choice no I don't like the idea of it. For medical purposes and in cases of rape or cross breeding where your own male biological family member rapes you should have those rights. However abortion isn't for everyone and late term abortions are dangerous. I have not been in that situation but it is not fair to criticize or judge because they make that choice. You don't have to agree with this is just my opinion.

    Any woman who is considering abortion, I advise you to think about adoption. There are so many people waiting on the adoption list because they cannot have children or they do not want to bear their own. I have found that even if you cannot care for a child, adoption can help give the child a better life. I hope you make the right decision.

    • @jonteitsme
      @jonteitsme 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You're absolutely right, they should consider it, and I'm sure all of them do. Honestly, to me it would depend on my circumstances. If I would feel that I am able to carry around a baby in my womb for 9 months and then give it life with a family that wants it, I would. But If I feel I can't afford to carry it for 9 months, due to medical, physical, emotional reasons, then I wouldn't.

      I considered having abortion but I chose to keep my daughter. One thing I’ve learned is to never tell another woman what to do with her body. Just because I chose to keep my child that does not give me any right to tell a confused hopeless young woman or girl what decision they should make based of my beliefs because again that’s not my body. As a single mother all government assistance programs didn’t help me because “I made to much” if only the people who told me to choose adoption and telling me how I made the right decision would financially help me or the 14 yr olds who aren’t financially lucky like me. Instead talking about adoption we should give proper education on prevention.

    CONT. Women are people who have this right. Fetuses are human beings, whether you think they are alive or not. If a woman decides that she does not want a fetus(human being) inside of her body, she cannot be forced to keep it there, just as the person who does not wish to donate an organ cannot be forced to do so. That is a right that women, as Americans, have.
    The argument on abortion should not go any further than that. Once it is explained that if you take away abortion and force a woman...

  • @oblivious93massacre
    @oblivious93massacre 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I know that I will probably get a lot of hate comments for this, but this is how I see the issue of abortion in America:
    Americans who are walking around today have rights. One of the rights we are granted is that no one can use our bodies for anything that we don't want them to. It is why a person cannot rape another person. It is why we cannot harvest organs out of people for those who need them if they do not wish to donate, even if the person who's organs are needed is already dead.
    ...

Rather have an abortion than risking your child later on in life. Selling your child into sex slavery would be so much worse or putting your child through poverty, having them starve would be torture, so i think that a women as a right to choose

    glad to see such an important issue being brought to light by a young celebrity like Dianna. who is looked up to by so many young girls. I'm from Ireland and abortion is a very controvertial topic here. Currently abortion is illegal here and our government is constantly stalling and refusing to take a stand on a referendum regarding abortion. I feel it is important, like Dianna has highlighted that although it will never be an easy descision, woman should have the right to choose.

    There are circumstances where abortion should be considered but it bothers me when I hear that it is a choice about a woman and her body. None of us has the choice to do with our bodies as we please unless it is something benign or some sort of malignancy. The choice to remove a fetus is a judgment that a future human being will have a negative impact on the life of the mother.
    The roe v. wade decision came at a time after, and in the midst of great strides in the women's rights movement and was immediately and forever tied to that movement. The right to have an abortion has nothing to do with women's equal rights. The choice to have an abortion is made because it is deemed that a future human being will effect the future life of a mother and is removed from existence based on assumptions about the future. Rationalizing what it is in the womb makes the decision easier. In essence, a future human is on trial in the decision, not what it is in the womb.

      Mandy Schmidt
      Is abortion about ridding oneself of a potential human being or is it about ridding oneself of something that already exists while it's still yet unseen? A vacuum hose applied to a vagina is decided upon because of some sort of judgment. Contraception is a preventative measure. Abortion is about ridding oneself of the consequences of conception, in other words, the product of conception.

    CONT...(or anyone else, for that matter) cannot force it's mother to birth it just so that it can live.
    Even if you don't agree with my example(as many anti-choice believers don't), the fact that you cannot take away a person's rights to their own body is still true. Just to clarify: I am not saying that a fetus is a part of its mother's body. I am saying that the fetus is INSIDE its mother's body and she has a right to take it out if she so pleases because it is HER body.
    That's what I think.

You cannot just ignore the fact that a right is being taken away and continue with your argument. If we don't want a particular pregnancy and we want to abort it, then don't try and force us to gestate. We will not care for the kid. I have a Cousin In Law that was coerced by my cousin to have a kid that she was not ready for. That baby sits in its filth all day long until my cousin comes home from work to care for it. She just shuts the door and lets him cry. She might prop a bottle, but that's all.

    I was supposed to be an abortion my self 24 years ago, and on that day my mom chose to keep me, even if it means she has to go through hell and back.
    She chose to save a life, my life, and I shall forever be grateful for her being brave enough for us both, when I needed her the most. Be brave, they need you to save their lives too!

    Looks like everyone agrees with you. Keep up the good work. Abortion has clearly ended, as you can see.

    I'm sorry but the countless families looking to adopt, your way of thinking just tosses a life aside. You just call the baby something else to justify taking its life. And more times then none its about an inconvenience for the mother. This is a throw away society and it is sick. Don't don't all morally self righteous with me.

    So your still devaluing the life of a child, saying its not a child till outside the womb. That is pretty sickening, and the violent way you justify ending a child as a routine medical procedure. So what about the babies from botched abortions still alive outside the mothers womb. Do they become a baby then, or just a lump of cells to be discarded.
