Not sure if it counts but thought it was pretty weird that in both shows, episode 5 featured a character walking through different times in her life only to discover she died from a broken neck at the end.

hannah didn't die from a broken neck, she died from the blow to the back of the head. it's why she keeps rubbing the area. technicality in the grand scheme of things but there ya go lol
I thought the same!! Even if Hannah suffered an injury to her head, both Nell and Hannah’s heads were tilted similarly.
I was coming to comment something similar. Hannah may have hit her head, but her neck was definitely bent!
In Hill House, when Nell realized she's the Bent-Neck Lady, she went "No no no no no no..." And in Bly Manor, when both Peter and Hannah realized they're dead, they went "No no no no no no..."
Look at Peter’s cheek and see how he has a scar. In haunting of hill house, luke survives from the ray poison and is seen with an open cut on his cheek. Also, in hill house, luke pours the gasoline and attempts to ignite it with the same lighter that he had as Peter to ignite his cigarettes

That is an actual scar, search it up he’s always had it. However he covers it up sometimes, makes it so much cooler that they decided to

He has a very small scar there but somehow in almost every show/movie the makeup artists include it and make it bigger
when dani proposes to Jamie she says "its enough for me" which is what the lyrics in nells wedding song say as she dances with her husband.
In the episode where we learn about Henry's back story, he is kissing Charlotte and then his doppelganger appears to be hovering over him......just like the bent neck lady was hovering over Nell in Hill House.

Dani saying, "There are worse places to be stuck, believe me." to Owen in the first episode reminded me of her other character's fate in season one.
another one is when Dani talks to Miles she tells him "its kids like us" just like Theo said to the kid in ep3 of Hill House

When I think Flora’s up in the attic during hide and seek there is a stack of things to the right and you can see a Hat sitting on top and it’s the hat of William Hill who was the really tall guy with a cane that haunted Luke. It’s also the hat from the logo

There is a scene where Dani asks the children if they had brushed their teeth before going to bed. I thought that when Dani opened her mouth during this scene that the image was reminiscent of when Nell’s ghost would scream in hill house. There was just something unnatural and eerie about how Dani looked with her mouth wide open, and the noise she made was slightly odd as well.
Oh that was definitely a reference to her earlier role as Nell! I thought the same exact thing when I saw that scene.

I notice like maybe three out of all those and I also notice the musical score was the same piece they used in The Hunting Of Hill House.

When Uncle Henry leaves the bedroom and goes down the hall to follow Flora, he's wearing the same blue shirt that he wore while chasing the kids in Hill house.
Hill House: when Hugh was saying goodbye to his son, he said "I was so lucky", meaning that he once had a beautiful family in life.
Bly Manor: when Henry was saying good bye to Dani, he said "I am so damn lucky" because now he gets to build a family with the kids.
In both series, Henry Thomas got roles of an estranged father who get his redemption in the end.
My favorite in when Dani tells the kids to show them if they brush their teeth, and she opens her mouth just like the bent-neck lady

The Paralles Between Henry wingrave & hugh craine in hill house & Bly manor when they say they say " I can fix it " pretty much means that the damage is already done as the character has lost a loved one or he dosnt know hes about too , the definition of haunting !
They used a little piece of piano music from THOHH several times in THOBM - I noticed it in ep 1 of BM when Hannah is talking to Dani about Rebecca and it's used in Nell's "confetti" scene in ep 10 of HH. (I think they used this same music piece more than once in both series.)
Not exactly an Easter egg but in Hill House episode 1 Hugh goes to twins room after Nell's just seen the bent neck lady, he then tells her that dreams can spill and that BNL is just a spill. Same way Henry tries to comfort Flora after seeing the faceless child.
Very end of Ep 9, you see Dani’s hand in older Jamie’s shoulder. I think it’s a callback to Nell’s wedding in Hill House, we see Hugh sitting at a table and imaginary Olivia standing behind him with her hands on his shoulder. It’s why I believe Jamie was dreaming this.
EDIT: watched it again and I refute this theory. There was nothing stopping Viola Lloyd from leaving Bly except her own anger and longing. Other ghosts trapped there were beholden to her, so they were stuck with her in this artificial purgatory. Dani didn’t carry the anger, and had Jamie to come back to, so she could leave and walk wherever her partner was, even if she wasn’t seen.
Sorry for any confusion, and excuse me while I grab another crate a tissues.

theirs a part where Dani is sitting on her bed with her head resting in her hand and before she shifts positions her neck is bent at an unnatural angle similar to how Nel had her neck snapped at an unnatural angle also I think Rebecca said something about how she didn't believe in ghosts which made me think about the time Seve said he didn't believe in ghost to the woman he talks to in episode one of hill house

I think there was a scene where Dani was grabbed by the waist by a ghost, and this ghost had black gloves on!! I think the ghost was the Lady in the Lake = Kate Siegel = Theodora Crain! :)

i noticed that the necklace dani was wearing when she sees the lady in the lake in the water when she was washing the dishes looked a lot like the necklace Olivia gave her

I never fished house on haunted hill, I just couldn"t get into it which is a huge suprise for me but Bly I was watching everyday until I finished the series.
An absolute bag of box-ticking shite. I couldn't stop counting how many box had been ticked per episode I forgot the plot.
How many of these are deliberate call backs to Hill House, and how many are simple the filmmakers/writer’s style or method or phraseology?
Just because things remind you of other things, that doesn’t necessarily make it an “Easter egg”.

Idk how this would work but.... spoiler..... the twist at the final episode of bly reveals everyone in the story are american. That the story actually takes place in america. Flora miles and henry are american, assuming everyone else are also american except maybe Dani. Bly manor is in america and maybe bly manor Is Hill House. Like i said idk how it could work seeing hill house is abandoned but the wingrave still goes to bly for holiday. Maybe they stopped at some point? Idk.

Can someone plz explain to me , what was show about anyway? Was it about ghost story of peter , Jessel . and vola, or love story ? Can someone plz explain it me if Hannah was death the whole time , why others see her and same thing with peter and miss Jessel , and end . Why Dani killed herself , was possessed by VOLA ? Can someone plz explain to me and how did flora and miles parents died? How Jamie knew the kind of it’s you , it’s me , it’s us ?
None of it makes much sense. It was a love story. Everyone could see Hannah even though she was a ghost. The parents died in a random accident in India. Dani knew the phrase because she hears Peter say it to miles in the attic.
It’s the Wiley Coyote thing. Until Hannah understands and accepts that she’s dead, she still seems normal. She becomes more and more confused by the memories. When she finally realizes she’s dead, they don’t see her anymore. While she’s dead, and knows she is, she is still talking to Owen in the memories.
I think like to think of it as a love story with ghosts. Don’t take my words for 100% accuracy since I’m kind of trying to figure it out as well, feel free to debunk me. For Hannah’s situation I think she was just a ghost since most characters seem to be able to see ghosts. But possibly a part of Jamie’s imagination or a tucked memory. Miles and flora seemed to be able to see the faceless ghosts haunting the place along with Peter and Jessel as well (house ghosts can do physical things). For Dani’s situation, I think it was something like she traded herself to take on the role of the lady in the lake, leading her to die. Flora and Miles’s parents died during their recreation of their honeymoon to mend their relationship (I think Dominic the dad found out about the affair) and a fatal accident happened there. They don’t appear as ghosts since they died off property, but they appear in memories. The only way Jaime could have known any of the story is if she had made it up or she talked to the others about it.

Miles was being possessed but Flora was just being tucked away, for what it seemed. We never saw Miles dream hoping trough Bly, only Flora.

None of these are really even references..... it’s the same writer so the dialogue are going to be similar. You are looking way too into this.

Love the content but one of the most annoying presenters ever. That adenoidal voice is like someone on SNL doing a cliche character. It is unbearable.
Most of the things you mentioned aren't Easter eggs, they are common phrases used in completely different context.
The only "real" Easter egg is the Lion on the door, phrases and recycled scenes are not.

Excpet that there is a larger context here. One you're choosing to ignore so you can trick yourself into believing you're more intelligent than you are.

The shows don't even link up in anyway, they are two separate retellings of two separate stories. The larger context here, is they needed a video for monetization, and found out they shared phrases.

Maybe if they were in the same "universe", however they are two stories with nothing to do with each other. That would be like saying just because its used in the 2020 movie the turning (which is the same damn story as bly manor) then that's a subtle reference. Its just recycling from mediocre writers. After all we all know the cake isn't real.
Having Dani wake up and complain of a sore neck, would be a subtle reference. As she played Nell in hill house. But just because the exact same expression is used, doesn't mean its connected in anyway. They left out context, you know to draw the connection. Otherwise everything is connected because people use those phrases daily.
