Great video! I manage a very small time computer TH-cam channel myself. It's fun to see others pop up! You definitely seem like you thoroughly enjoy what you're doing which makes it that much more fun to watch. Can't wait to see what becomes of this Mac!

Still awaiting some parts but it’s coming together. The hardest part was the cleanup after. Might have some “filler” episodes until I get everything I need lol.

I got a soft spot for these beige G3's! I wouldn't count my chics regarding salvaging that logic board - it aint a IIci or anything equally well built. But I'll cross my fingers for you

The only thing that might be an issue is the battery compartment itself has corroded through the board on both pins. If the via has been damaged that could be an issue. I do have miles of bodge wire in that case lol

I have a Molar Mac too. The battery didn't corrode, but it doesn't work. It chimes and the CRT seems to initialize, but the CRT never comes on. The board is spotless, too.

I’ve seen people swap CPU’s and have them come to life. Maybe try reseating the CPU or try installing a PCI GPU and use an external display.

@@IkesVintageTech I'll have to sit down and play with it some more sometime. I have a friend who is also into the Molar Mac, so I am probably going to bring it over to his house and we are going to try to tackle repairing it together. I hope I get it working, it's very cool.
