If he was French or Brazilian
U would have put him in the tiers of Viera and Zidane

@@treyyg-rt5kz That's like saying Busquets was average because he didn't rack those assists up. Why didn't you talk about his goals? If you think that's the only way a MF can influence a game then you don't know football. Scholes played deep-lying, box 2 box, and often stood out in every game he played. Can't remember any other MF Xavi and Iniesta were told to study.
Yaya carried City so many times, that's why he has a pitch even named after him at City's training ground. One of the greatest imo but a bit controversial but like he said he doesn't care...he always speaks the truth💙
We miss you yaya 💙💙💙💙
An absolute monster, for 2 years he was genuinely the best midfielder in the world
Its safe to say Guardiola is one of the greatest, but had difficult relationships with Eto(legend), Zlatan(legend, Yaya(legend), amongst others and all had skills and strong personalities.
@@eaganadams3314 You people are hysterical. Thinking Pep is racist is the dumbest and randomest thing.
He doesn't like big personalities. he was bullied probably as player. Manuel Petit said something about him during their playing time in barcelona
The title of the video didn't reflect in it. The complicated relationship was not explained
I will always enjoy the team managed by Pep..
Even so, tbh.. I'd never know how great you are if you didn't go out from pep's team..
For me you are one of the greatest premier league midfielders ever,.. And one of the most underrated players ever.
funny because when he was at barcelona i adored him. when he got to City, i knew he was going to be that guy because he was absolutely incredible at barcelona. its crazy because even after he left, whenever Messi would line up against him, he always give yaya a hug. Messi knew what he was to that team.
Not only a magnificent footballer but also a fantastic personality. Mohamed Ali in boxing. Maradona & Yaya in football. Best wishes
Loool. Putting him next to Maradona is like putting Anthony Joshua next to Ali.
What a player. PL all timer/great imo

The Man City Yaya was a ballon d'or player . If you didn't saw it you really missed something
A proper city legend. Love the bloke!!
I remember those games where DeJong comes on and Yaya is unleashed in the forward positions...beast mode, untouchable and with enough finesse to bend a free kick up and into the top corner.

I agree. I personally feel that the only city player that you can say is better than Yaya Toure is KDB. Yaya Toure was unstoppable in his prime; an absolute unit that could take it from one end of the pitch to the other.
@@infintelyevolving4937 as much as I might want to agree with you, as much as great kdb is with the ball, on the ball there are still something’s yaya toure can do with the ball some pin point passes and I mean a lil few passes I don’t see kdb executing! Yaya is a rare beast u just don’t understand! He was mentored by Rivaldo
Great box to box midfielder, very complete like Gerrard, Ballack, Veron, heck even Gullit. But when you're at Barcelona, Guardiola was right to use Xavi and Iniesta. They were miles ahead of every midfielder bar Pirlo and Scholes.
@@G4MBIT they are different players. Scholes Pirlo and Xavi are "regista's", while Iniesta is a central midfielder with an offensive flair and style such as Seedorf Modric, Cesc or Nedved. As a regista Pirlo was better than Xavi in my opinion. He was worldclass at Milan, Juve and with Italy. Pirlo didn't need a system, he was the system. Xavi before Pep, and especially his link with Iniesta, was not worldclass at 29 years old. In spain he was sometimes criticised called the windshield wiper. For me, Xavi needed a system, and Iniesta at Barcelona and the national team.
And he did exactly that, the catalyst for our success..King#42
Yaya we as City fans miss you very much
I remember at the time thinking how strange it was for a guy who started a champion league final as a cb ( while normally playing as a cm) would go on to play as a attacking midfielder like Lampard did. But then it made sense when I saw him making runs , dribbles and scoring more goals, I thought why didn’t he play there sooner?
He is considered a top player but still underrated. That guy could do anything.
We appreciate U 🙏 thanks for everything u did for us all those amazing Freekicks long shot gaols 😘💙💙💙
I still think he is city greatest player till date..
What a player and deserve to be in epl hall of fame.. Saf even mention him in his first book on how to stop him.. boy Yaya could play and take a free kick
People are so quick to call Debruyne the best prem midfielder ever and he's definitely up there. But I'd argue Yaya offered more threats than Debruyne, at least arguably.
Debruyne might be a better passer than him. But Yaya could go past people like a world class winger, keep the ball under pressure as well as anyone, score from long range like Gerrard, and bully other midfielders like Viera.
This guy is the epitome of criminally underrated.
He started as a defender in the Champions League final 2009 against Manchester United, which we won, if only he stopped complaining all the time, as a football player you have to play wherever the coach needs you to, and that's the end of the story.
Well he had a way better career since he left for city than he would’ve at Barca. As a professional you’re allowed to go where they’ll appreciate you
If he didn't complain, he'd have a miserable defenders career in Barcelona.
It is no fair to the player to play them anywhere just because you are the coach

What a player! But birthdaygate was embarrassing.
Those days Fergie was not recruiting good players. Him and the Glazers lied to fans about quality in the market (Yet other teams signed Yaya, Silva, Aguero, Benzema, Ozil, Hazard etc) Imagine if they'd gone for any of these players instead of Valencia, Obertan, Bebe and the likes
One of africas most wanted ❤
If you actually deep it youu can understand why he thinks Pep has it out for him.
At Barcelona he was even playing as a cb.
As soon as he goes City he gets freedom to show his complete game.
As soon as Pep comes City he minimises his role again
He only played as a CB in the final because of squad suspensions/injuries.
@vespasiancloscan7077 the biggest game of his career agajnst a on fire united team with Cristiano ronaldo, he played at CB that's how great he is.
@@TheDiegoo17 agreed, but then why pretend there was a pattern of Pep playing him out of position? He played him as a CDM because Xavi and Iniesta were simply better CMs, and he played him as a CB once because Alves was suspended so Puyol had to be the RB.

And the last one is mahrez , the player give everything to the club and look last year almost no match in the championsleague
I think pep inside so racist with black African players !
Pep has problems with lots of players because it's his way or the highway. Jao Cancelo, Zlatan, ...
@@Crazytwist007 Both examples you gave are the players having excessive ego and temper against the Manager. Both of these players didn't understand that Manager is the boss and he is held accountable for team. Zlatan created his own narrative and refused to play as the Manager asked. Look at him played till 40 won leagues everywhere but never won the Champions League. So pep was right in siding with messi and leaving the problematic player out. Cancelo is another case. How many clubs has cancelo changed now? He never stays at any club and he has attitude problem. Does not play as asked? Kept overlapping and playing as Left winger while leaving defence open and not letting Greilish to play his game. If he played this year , City would have won maybe only F.A cup. City will be selling him and every city fan want him out after training ground antics.
that African pride will be be your downfall my guy you could have been even better than what you were if you just look at what pep turned his midfielders
Pep doesn't just like the guy...... Nothing to do with African pride....

Guardiola seems a bit racist and Muslim hater from the onset. Plus he doesn’t like alpha men around him because he feels them overpowering his charisma/grip on the team
