Hey Algonquin, Yeah I’m interested to see what it would taste like with some age, this will be a treat tobacco so I’m sure it will get there, nice to hear from you as always
As an english lover, i taste the turkish over everything else with this blend, including the latakia. I love it. Not sure if i like as much as standard mixture yet. But a different style for sure.
Hi Jeff, English and Balkan blends are my favorite. After watching some reviews on Old Ironsides and hearing things like lat bomb I had to try it. I was kinda disappointed on my initial smoke. I smoked some balkan supreme and some Squadron Leader earlier in the day. When I first smoked Old Ironside I hardly got any latakia. I found out I have to smoke that first like a morning smoke to get any latakia out of it. It's a smooth smoke and could be an all day smoke. Could be a starter english for someone wanting to try one. Good review and 😊💨💨
Although my jacket still smells like smoke from the Ironsides, I feel it has a decent amount of Latakia. I don’t know if I would say it’s a beginner blend, maybe presbyterian or EMP.
@@aromatix5741 l was outside today taking down Christmas lights. It was a sunny 35° day with a gentle breeze. I thought I'd smoke a bowl of Old Ironsides. To my dismay it was a little dry in the tin. Packed it, lit it, and was surprised at the latakia up front. Maybe it needs some dry time. Yes maybe it's not really a starter.
@@jbafternoonpiper404 Hey JB, I didn’t mean to undermine your opinion, I think we just forget how overpowering Latakia can be at first as I think we get used to it. But that’s cool that you enjoyed it!
Hey Richard, believe it or not I’ve never had pirate cake! I guess that’s another one for my bucket list. But I’m guessing pirate cakes probably a bit heavier than this. Although my jacket still smells like Latakia from the Ironsides.
Great vid Aromatix. Thanks a lot. Have a great weekend ahead.
Thanks Dart you too!
Hello Jeff. Thanks for sharing. I love this blend especially with 2-3 years of age. Be well.

Haven’t cracked my tin yet, but I’ll try just about anything with DFK.

Yeah I really enjoy Turkish as well, I smoke them straight from time to time
Sounds like a good blend!
Yes sir, I think you would like it, but probably not more than your usual English favourites
Thanks for sharing Jeff. I haven’t tried that one yet. Good review. Happy smokes
Hey Ken, a decent smoke for sure but nothing worth hunting high and low for

How is it in comparison to Pirate Kake?
Stay warm over there!
