It’s not a 10 year view, it’s a 4 year view at the most. Every retirement and pension fund has at least that time horizon. Bitcoin is an absolute no brainer for mid to long term holders.
Natalie has one of the best BTC podcasts right now!
Natalie. This was fascinating. I give you a lot of credit for just letting him speak. He was super fascinating to listen to thanks for that.
Well done Natalie! Best interview of DT i have seen. His history is remarkable. Great guy to have in the BTC space
Great video - we can agree to disagree. I don’t think Dan has gone down the bitcoin rabbit hole as deep as Natalie. 👍👍👍
Bitcoin is a spiritual journey and we are all at different spots along the path. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Lol Natalie you are a very good listener and have mastered the art of patience! Dan is a legend!
Dan.... What's the total supply of Ethereum?
More than 100 million
Never ending?
I really loved this interview Natalie. Such a valuable perspective that Dan has. HODL on!!
Excellent Interview!! The solving of the Byzantine General’s problem is such a revolutionary solution! Great Stuff!!
Natalie, another great podcast, I liked Dan, a little too much on his background. My favorite parts, because you are a pro:
1) Early on, how you slipped in the 'Billionaire' comment, it instantly gives Dan 'street cred' for people who had never heard of him like me
2) In the beginning how Dan said, "That is the right question." Me: NO kidding, Natalie is a professional unlike many in the Bitcoin Podcast space who don't even understand what I am typing.
3) How in the end you called him out on how you disagreed on 'certain assets' (ETH). Dan's response was weak on how he is nuanced in his view and you may not disagree. You actually, totally, unequivocally do disagree as do some of your super long term listeners and supporters. Regardless, thanks Dan, really enjoyed when you talked about your views on Bitcoin. Thanks Natalie, for not agreeing on ETH.
You’re a good listener 😅 It was very informative, appreciated his view and base of knowledge
Great interview. One of the things I really like about your podcast Natalie is that you ask about the guest's childhood, origin story, how they started their careers etc. Noone else in bitcoin / crypto podcasts asks those questions, and it's always really interesting to find out.
Phantastic Interview! Grateful Thanks!
Great interview !!! Everyone should listen this...👏👏👏👍
Great interview Nat, keep doing what you're doing.
thx you both
Appreciate the interview 🙏
Love your show Natalie. Great to see Dan here. Legend!
🛎️🙏America has always been behind 15-20 years. Great Exchange.
Great interview, Natalie and Great to have Dan as a guest on your show!
Great interview.Thank you!!
Thanks Natalie
Thanks Nat!
What drives bitcoin's value to nose bleed levels in the near future is it's UTILITY. It's not just its scarcity and all its other properties. It's utility becomes one of its most attractive properties, more so than its scarcity. When a potato farmer in Boise Idaho can send millions of dollars of bitcoin to someone across the world in a nanosecond to acquire a long desired asset, it'll hit home. You cannot do that with any other scarce asset. It is too costly, timely, inefficient, and impractical to move the next best scarce asset such as gold like that. Certainly scarcity is a driving force, but its utility is a biggie. Great video Natalie. Then again, they're always great.
Sup, thank you.
Yes, go back and listen to Scott Menard. 🛎️
Looooooong Wiiiiiiiinded
Dan should come to the London meetup! Or organize one in Greenwich
Bitcoin does not actually 'solve' the Byzantine generals problem, but it's a good approximation - it still allows breaking trust, though it makes it prohibitively expensive and that is good enough, actually much much better than anything we had so far. Simlarly, generating very large prime numbers for assymetric cryptography does not require true primes, just large numbers that are primes with high probability (see e.g. Pollard's rho method).
How does it not solve the Byzantine Generals problem?
@@Brian-vk1hm IIRC it's a suboptimal solution (51+% attack still possible) - but it's good enough - it's like when your navigation finds shortest route using the A* algorithm - it's not the absolutely shortest route guaranteed but very close; it's practical with respect to time and resources
4:40 I m 73 and have been investing in crypto for about 4-5 yrs alot to learn to be sure. My finance thinks I'm sorta wasting my time and money. I believe profits will come in the not to near future. I made it thru this crypto winter! Whew!!!😅
10x gain!!!🙏 BTC
Foundational lifetime investments are BTC and ETH. ALL the rest are to keep us entertained while we are on the beach playing (online gambling) with our pachinco money for fun and excitement. The new crossword and Sudoko distractions, though with excitement of "non-fatal" jeopardy.
Natalie, a perfectly and efficiently framed question at the ~44min point.
Nat is cool!!
Bitcoin does not have a volatility problem. Bitcoin is simply early in its adoption cycle.
You have been a nice discovery for me. Sorry you don't like alts, but I get why.
I love the channel and content but can you please do something about the audio? It’s so low and hard to listen to in a car.
This guy is getting there but still hanging onto ETH.....he'll learn
😍🥰
Love all thr bots agreeing with the scam in the comments! If you all still throw money away at Bitcoin, i feel sorry for your families!!!😊
Is it me or has he not actually taken a sip of that water? He keeps reaching for it but water hasn't made it to his lips once.
Nice talk, but ETH? Dude? Schedule in another 6 months.
I just came here to say this is the most bearish title I've ever seen
I watch this channel religiously but every time interviews come about the guest, intro is Tooooo Looong. Hope intro would be short and move into real meat of interview would be appreciated.
Fiat price shouldn't mean anything to you. What is the point of buying Bitcoin if you're just going to sell it for garbage Fiat?
I don't think 95% of folks have any idea what's about to happen to BTC.....
Very intelligent and accomplished man. However, Natalie, as you know, one can be too close to a story. Despite his immense talent, this gentleman spent too much time in Soros Land to see clearly there is no second best to Bitcoin.
oooooooh it better 10x in 1 year motherfu
Not sure why but this guest wasn't easy to listen to.
Older guys always adding that young women wouldn't remember this and that and why do they always have to point it out? She gets this almost at every interview and keeps smiling through it . I have the same thing at work and it's so tiring. She is your interviewer, qualified regardless of her age, stop being a patronising old man.
Hi Pole
Stop being too sensitive younger woman
@@aussieman8738 I'm not too sensitive Aussie idiot. I just said it's tiring to constantly having to laugh it off and I've seen it in several interviews already. Never happens when men talk to younger men .
Older guys, we all think we're younger guys.
@@farmerfarmerer3847 same with women, one never feels the age.. I'm only saying that when it's mentioned during a professional conversation it always feels like a dig at experience and is almost suggesting she wouldn't know what he knows, it's unnecessary.
If we turned it around and someone younger said to someone older at work or on TV, oh you wouldn't know what Snapchat is because you were born before 2000, it would definitely sound wrong
