Dr. West is a fantastic neurologist who is very knowledgeable about neuro autoimmune diseases. He is informed, up to date on research and therapies, a thorough medical detective, compassionate, and funny as shit (as we say in Boston). I was blessed to be a patient of his at the UCSF MS Clinic for a year (2010-2011) before he was offered the position at the Cleveland neuro clinic in Las Vegas. I have a very complex overlapping autoimmune disease history and he was able to determine that my neurological involvement was systemic, and was able to place me on the correct medication which decreased the amount of disease activity and length of flares and slow the progression of demyelination in my CNS. He validated me as a human with a baffling medical history and helped me achieve quality life despite my neuro related impairments. Dr. West is an asset to the patient population of neurological autoimmune diseases!! I wish him success in all areas of his life.
