I’ve just checked official website to try to recreate their work. The images on there are only 768x768 pixels, and if you crop only the box art, it’s only 400p image. After upscaling it text looks better than theirs, but overall AI weirdness is similar, so I think that is what they did. Amazon pictures are actually a lot higher resolution, but maybe they had done it before Amazon listing appeared or something.

And just almost one year after the G7 LPS were released and MONTHS after the LPS advent calendar was released, there is that fake advent calendar being sold! Sucks that they even advertise it with the real products photos. Basic Fun needs to put up release dates on when each international amazon site will be released to the official LPS store!
I've been noticing more AI use in the LPS community and I'm not a fan of that. It's especially dangerous when it comes to selling products because now we have ppl using it in order to pretend to be the offical LPS products. I hope this comes to an end soon :(
Bootlegs using AI “art” is a whole new level of laziness. They really couldn’t steal some images off of Google?? At the least the garbage figures included could be used for customs…
What's even worse is little ones tend to not even care if their toys are bootleg and as long as it's cheap parents will buy. As an mlp and past lps collector I have so much hate for bootleg toys. It's really unfortunate Amazon of all places can't tell the difference.

I like G3 too like but these fakes are so bad. I hope to heck that no parent has brought this for their kid, and i hope also unsuspecting collectors haven't brought them thinking there real too. My mom bought these for me thinking they were real. I'm very glad there's a video about this now. It was very saddening recieving this instead of actual LPS.

I'm really hoping that as the holidays approach, awareness of the kinds of scams involving fake lps become more well known among parents since we collectors have been dealing with fakes for a long time, but they haven't. It gets worse when you realize there's a warning in the corner that also was altered by AI. A person might buy this and be unable to read the AI text, potentially putting their kids in danger.

My sister is an LPS collector, and this popped up in my recommended at the same exact time she bought herself an LPS advent calendar for this year, so I had to run to our shared amazon to make sure she got the right one. Thankfully she did.
If you want some tips to try and avoid this, make sure the listing has unique pictures and they actually show the item or proof of them pre ordering the item. If the only info the listing has is generic stock images and a generic description with a bunch of algorithm catching words (LPS, Basic Fun, Littlest Pet Shop, Christmas Advent Calendar, good gift for boys and girls, etc). Do not buy something unless everything about it is 100% legit.
I’m so glad I purchased in person at smyth toys rather than Amazon. I nearly had a panic attack when I saw the title of this!! I can confirm for the uk lps fans that the advent calendar is safe to purchase in person, or on line at smyth toys superstores!! Thank you so much LPS honey for insuring people are aware of these, and possible saving people a lot of money! :D Edit: I went onto smyth toys superstore and for some reason the advent calendar isn’t listed online. I assure you though, the one I purchased in store was 100 % authentic
My second comment here lol, but these fakes could also make for great zombie customs for horror films or maybe u could make a monster creature thing by combining a few to make one? But definitely be careful when dealing with them, wear gloves or wash hands and keep them away from heat. Just stay safe!

Another way to tell is by the reviews and how many have sold. I tend to look at reviews a lot and if something does turn have reviews, I dont buy it. I dont take that chance.
I would recommend being incredibly careful with these since a lot of bootlegs have been discovered to have lead and other incredibly harmful metals/chemicals in them

Hi, me again. The thing about the fake locations, they do that so you can't return them and get a refund. Sometimes, they can send mail and packages without putting their information and address on it.
Man that's so disappointing :( I pre-ordered mine from the official lps amazon shop so I'm pretty sure I'm okay, but yeah I feel bad for all the kids and parents that might be fooled by these.

my other methods this is my go to for avoiding buying fakes: to avoid anything that says anything other than “Littlest Pet Shop” no “littlest petshops” “littlest pets” “my little petshop” “littlest pets shop” “littlest pet shops” ANYTHING other than straight “Littlest pet shop”. and checking who the seller is And if they sell literally anything else lps or toy related helps too. also, if this is an option for you, i just waited untill it hit local stores (/their websites) and bought it from there. There’s certainly 24 and they *are* surprising. The only fake advent calendar I knew to be out there was out on Amazon before the real G7 calendar was even announced- but that one has a generic Christmas printed on it and clearly shows the fake pets as they are. Kinda figures that AI would be used for this sort of application though- it’s just another one of the many concerns artists and the general populace have raised that were dismissed only to be proven to be true later. ^ ^;
Oh my Gosh! I'm two weeks late to this video HOWEVER I was JUST browsing ebay for some LPS advent calendars to maybe buy and came across one of those! I'm no good with prices so I thought it was legit when it was listed 25 EUR + shipping (around 27 USD + shipping), I added it to my cart but didn't purchase it yet, decided to watch some LPSTube first and came across this video! I started to check for the clues you mentioned (like where it's being sent from, etc) and it was pretty sketchy so your video saved me and my wallet big time! I will surely be more careful when purchasing LPS online or just wait til they make it in our stores in Estonia The LPS calendar I viewed was the 2010 calendar with the deer, peacock and collie, I sort of assumed since they were older calendars they'd go for more cheap than the G7 ones but errr come to think of it, it may go for even more than that XD Either way THANK YOU for this video! I hope this will save a lot of collectors and/or parents from being scammed!

Only thing good about this set is I can see people make really cute customs out of them (At least the good condation oners and not the broken bent ones like that pony but that white sitting cat I see a lot of good cuistomes out of it) if they dont wanna ruin "offical pets" but in all it's trashy they are triking people into buying bootleg stuff. always check what you buy, folks. and yeah bootleg toys are always scary when it comes to paint jobs most always have lead. not saying these do...just what I seen most bootleg toys like this used lead paint which is highly dangerous.
You definitely have to look at the seller/brand and the location of the seller not just the photo. Also, any going for less than $40AUD is definitely a scam. The brand has to be listed as Littlest Pet Shop and/or Basic Fun.

Honestly, AI generated stuff IN GENERAL is always gonna end up so good it looks realistic, or so horrible it looks like scribbles but high quality.

Crazy that I almost thought to cancel my £30 calender order from American amazon for ones that I saw on England amazon (where I live) for £7. Cos I thought omg I could be getting it for £7?! But inside, I knew they would be scams.

Okay, the ai copyed cover ruins it for me, but overall, I would actually like to own this, just because the goofyness of it 😂. It's a really bad thing, that they sell it for people who thinks it is official g7, but if they'd change the cover, even if it's ai generated, I would probably buy it. Ofc this is my personal opinion, you don't have to agree w/ anything I wrote ^^'.

The only fake advent calendar I knew to be out there was out on Amazon before the real G7 calendar was even announced- but that one has a generic Christmas printed on it and clearly shows the fake pets as they are.
Kinda figures that AI would be used for this sort of application though- it’s just another one of the many concerns artists and the general populace have raised that were dismissed only to be proven to be true later. ^ ^;

Oh my Gosh! I'm two weeks late to this video HOWEVER I was JUST browsing ebay for some LPS advent calendars to maybe buy and came across one of those! I'm no good with prices so I thought it was legit when it was listed 25 EUR + shipping (around 27 USD + shipping), I added it to my cart but didn't purchase it yet, decided to watch some LPSTube first and came across this video! I started to check for the clues you mentioned (like where it's being sent from, etc) and it was pretty sketchy so your video saved me and my wallet big time! I will surely be more careful when purchasing LPS online or just wait til they make it in our stores in Estonia
The LPS calendar I viewed was the 2010 calendar with the deer, peacock and collie, I sort of assumed since they were older calendars they'd go for more cheap than the G7 ones but errr come to think of it, it may go for even more than that XD

Only thing good about this set is I can see people make really cute customs out of them (At least the good condation oners and not the broken bent ones like that pony but that white sitting cat I see a lot of good cuistomes out of it) if they dont wanna ruin "offical pets" but in all it's trashy they are triking people into buying bootleg stuff. always check what you buy, folks. and yeah bootleg toys are always scary when it comes to paint jobs most always have lead. not saying these do...just what I seen most bootleg toys like this used lead paint which is highly dangerous.
At the very least you could make some very stiff non bobbly customs with them!

You definitely have to look at the seller/brand and the location of the seller not just the photo. Also, any going for less than $40AUD is definitely a scam. The brand has to be listed as Littlest Pet Shop and/or Basic Fun.
I almost bought this for my sister a few weeks ago but the price thankfully made me pause, and in the product details the "Brand:" said "generic".
